Why would the Cambridge people want to promote toxic bile...because it's a dead end and not really a threat?
I’m more inclined to believe “Charlie” is just a committee that has crafted this online persona from the beginning of RPF waiting for Ray’s death to activate the plan.
Usually they have multiple goals with these projects, similar to what happened with Covid. Discredit and bury Ray’s work, associate it with dangerous gun toting conservatives, cause mass confusion so people don’t dig deeper and stick with mainstream “solutions”. Just a few off the top of my head.
Mercola is also tied in here and I think we’ll also see further regulation in the supplement industry to “protect” us of course.
If you look on Twitter there’s a whole crew of these bad actors like Thor Torrens coming out of the woodwork. They’re very aggressive demeaning Ray but their arguments have no substance. It’s a bigger agenda than them just trying to get clients from the Ray Peat community. I’ll look into them some more when I have the time.
Edit - I don’t think “Charlie” is Garrett. I do think Garrett is real, he’s an angry divorced man, and he’s getting paid by someone to push this narrative.

I get your suspicions, but I'm not sure Mercola is involved. For one thing, I see the agenda being pushed to find alternate explanations for vaccine injuries -- to distract and divide public perception -- and he has been consistently critical of vaccines and was one of the 'Disinformation Dozen' that was censored during COVID. He put out a tweet a while back stating that the new COVID booster was available now after being tested on a few lab rats, lol. The other thing is that he claims to have been targeted/assets frozen or something by the banks and was harrassed by the state in that manner. He also rebuffed Charlie when he tried to induct him into the Vitamin A nonsense, and has praised Dr. Peat's work and credited him with changing his views and dietary advice. He's not a Ray Peat, obviously, and is more of a supplement salesman, but I think the attempts to vilify him or suggest that he is controlled opposition come from the powers that be, just like they're trying to link Peat to the CIA. I think the RPF used Mercola's interest in Ray Peat's work and the new traffic that would bring to double-down and intensify the 'toxic A' narrative, and they're still trying to bring him into the fold as I saw Garrett Smith pining for an interview with him on his wife's Twitter feed. Just my current assessment.
Edit: I think Mercola may be one of the ones they are looking to 'regulate'.
Edit: There were some weird rumors going around about his spiritual awakening or something similar and it was made out to sound crazy, not coincidentally, I don't think, around the time he began talking about Ray Peat or shortly thereafter. He fired a good portion of his staff, if I recall correctly. Even his wife chimed in, but I perceived that more of a relationship where she wasn't privvy to all of his thoughts and business decisions, and perhaps some of the online chatter/propaganda even influenced her perceptions. What I saw after that was him talking about bringing joy into his life and his health advice to people, and something inspired him to offer all of his articles for free (yes, you have to provide an e-mail and get annoying newsletters, but a step in the right direction, IMO). Something tells me that Ray Peat's writings may have inspired some of these changes in him.
