No sex drive, Long refractory period and ED
-
Hey guys
My other chronic health problems are seborrhoeic dermatitis, depression, and chronic fatigue (i think they all started about a decade ago, around age 18-20.)
Im a 31 yo male and it feels really depressing to have these problems but around age 27 it really started to dig in while I was going through a stressful period. I got a new gf at the time and I realised I couldn't get it up with her like i used to with my last gf at age 21.
This was after a long period in monk mode where i was voluntary celibate so it was quite a shock to me. It's quite depressing to me because I'm surrounded by cute girls in my life but it's like ahh fuck it what's even the point.
For me I believe this goes together with something hormonal because I rarely feel "in the mood". It's nothing like my younger days. I usually feel a different mood... strained somehow, all the time, as I go about my days. Everything feels like a struggle, so sexuality is well off the table. I'm just not in that mood. Just being awake is a constant low grade drag. The only times I ever feel horny are when I drink booze or at certain times when I wake up in the middle of the night. In the past I would wake up horny as fuck and i would have to crank one out just to sleep. Now i wake up and I feel horny like the old days, maybe with a boner, but only for a few seconds, then it's gone.
Actually i can get it up if I'm really trying but there is barely any sensation there and it's more of a cope than anything. I lose my erection in about 15 seconds if I'm not stimulating it. I'm just... not in the mood.
In addition the odd times I do coom, my refractory period is way way longer now, it's like 3 or 4 days. I used to be able to get it up right after with my old gf but now it's a real struggle to even do it the first time. I'm just not in the mood, I can have a really beautiful girl naked in front of me and I'm not in the mood. I've tried this 6 or 7 times with different girls, not in the mood.
For you retainers, it's not the gooning, i went without gooning for 3 months last year and if anything, the problem got even worse.
I have tried many different diets and nothing helped, many supplements also did not help including D, B12, and zinc. I don't eat a lot of meat.
My T levels are normal, above average actually.
My iron levels were a bit low on last test.
My thyroid levels are very good, tsh about 1.0.
Liver enzymes normal.
H1C perfect.IDK really, just shooting this out here. Maybe it's just anxiety, I have been under major life stress for so long now that I can barely remember the feeling of being secure and peaceful.
Is this normal? I feel like it's not normal or healthy.
I wonder if any of you have faced this problem and have got any suggestions.

Hey,
I dont have these problems but Hans Amato talks a lot about it on twitter/his website and he even has a course on this topic.
Here is a tweet he posted couple days ago
No libido even with high testosterone?
https://twitter.com/HansAmato/status/1783073468252144010
You can see in his comments he linked his articles on this topic as well. This thing is either a problem of your lifestyle/diet or it in your head. Gooning has nothing to do with it although I'm against it as I consider it demoralizing.
Good Luck sir!

Like you say it's probably something hormonal and is likely behind your other chronic issues since hormones will affect neurosteroids and neurotransmitters, etc.
I would get prolactin, estradiol, shbg and dht tested. Even if you have to buy some of those DIY blood tests.

@fucker have you been on SSRI?
Are you eating lots of starches?
Dopamine is primary cause of erections
Starches kill dopamine by increasing gut bacteria
Do you have erections while fasting? -
PUFA? Polyester underwear? Variocele?
Are you on finasteride? It does sound like extreme stress from your post. High cortisol and anxiety
-
@Kilgore Thanks, sorry for the late reply on this thread but I've been avoiding looking at it because it is a depressing subject.
-
@Androsclerozat I guess it depends what you consider a "lot of starches", but I dont think I eat so much of them in general. I have tried a lot of diets in the span of time since I developed this problem and nothing has helped with this particular issue
Erections while fasting, IDK because I don't fast. Should I try?
-
@noseleather I dont wear underwear usually. No finasteride. I limit PUFA aggressively since learning about Ray 2 yrs ago but I was raised on pufa and it never gave me ED before.
-
-seborrheic dermatitis, chronic fatigue and depression (big signs)
-Thinks its anxiety
-numb gentials (BIIIG sign)
-Testosterone and liver health are greatYep, thats 100% a gut issue
Listen man Imma keep this very very simple, I want you to eat nothing else other than parmeggiano reggiano and water for a couple of days/weeks and see if your issues improve
I want you to eat like 1 pound of parmeggiano reggiano per day with nothing else pther than water

@hwisdom Is this the reason why so many peoples sex drives go through the roof when they take apple cider vinegar? Because it's killing bacteria?

To me this whole process seems like it's driven by the catecholamines. Mostly epinephrine and norepinephrine. Peaters typically have the misfortune of demonizing adrenaline as the "bad guy" in pretty much everything, which is sorta true. But the issue is when it's overproduced due to low thyroid, you become insensitive to it so you produce more and more. I think progesterone & cortisol partially "rescues" the dysfunctional metaboslim from adrenaline's toxic effects, bringing the blood glucose back up, especially when we're younger (People under 20 probably don't even realize they have low thyroid because steroidogenesis is still high). But as we age, even as early as mid 20s, the thyroid is still low and now the cholesterol begins to creep up, less hormones are being made so there's less pregnenolone, progesterone, cortisol, and DHEA. What we desire is high sensitivity to small amounts of epinephrine.

@Mulloch94 but the numb genitals is a sode effect of using SSRIs so why isnt it instead the serotonin’s fault?
-
@SummerPeach it aint rlly about ”bacteria” since ur gut is literally full of them
The human body has more bacteria than human cells (but the cells are ofc bigger)
Apple cider vinegar helps with digestion and since a disrupted gut is the root cause/always connected to issues in the human body (including testosterone) ppl will therefore experience increased libido
Not super educated on the topic rn, but proper digestion will decrease serotonin —> dopamine shoots up
And testosterone + DHT will shoot up cus dopamine and testosterone are congruentThe thing with bacteria is that mainstream health mfs have psyoped us to be too afraid of bacteria n viruses while a proper immune system should be sble to handle everything
They do this to push vaccines + use it as a fear mongering tactic (covid)
Vaccine contains a fuck ton of heavy metals which basically make us stupid (+ all sorts of issues actually) by a huge margin (30iq prolly even more) so if the virus aint super dangerous i wouldnt vaccinate my future children for it (e.g. Covid) -

You could try.
By a lot of starches I mean morning and evening meals with starches, over 200g a day.
Some people are more sensitive. My friend can eat only one meal a day, more than that makes him anhedonic. In my case, only once every few days it's optimal. -
@hwisdom Thank you.
-
@hwisdom OK interesting
but why parm? -
@Mulloch94 treatment?
-
@fucker parm is cheese from raw milk
Raw milk is freaking awesomesauce for ur gut
-
So for what its worth the other day i drank a couple of beers out of the blue ( I almost never drink), and lo and behold I was instantly in a horny mood to the point of popping a boner in public and having to awkwardly face the wall for a minute like I was 15 years old again.
I seriously can't even remember the last time that happened.
This seems to rule out any kind of physical incapacity or gut issue wouldn't you think? Or if it's a gut issue, how is the alcohol providing temporary relief?
-
@fucker not super well versed atm but the estrogenic load u get from beer (10x worse than soymilk btw) is resposible for ur libido
Stressed organisms get the urge to reproduce in order to save their bloodline n shit
Alcohol’s primary reason its poison is not that it damages ur gut (still does) but alcohols main skibidi toilet is beeing toxic for ur liver
