Any experiences with DHT supplementation?

Be prepared to be underwhelmed if you're using DHT for gym gains. It's more of a "dryer" and "leaner" than a anabolic.
You can't really rely on LH as a sign of suppression when taking DHT. Most of DHT's inhibitory effects are on gonadotropin-releasing hormone in the hypothalamus.
As seen here, the minimal impact on LH did not prevent a decrease in T and E2.
If you want good DHT levels while also getting some anabolism I recommend taking topical testosterone, and some inhibit-E for estrogen control.
-
@anabology If literature is showing a 50% LH suppression at 250mg/day doses then I don't think you even need to worry about suppression when coming off. What dosages are you thinking of using?

I’ve tried a DHT cream, applied to my genitals, my pecs to reduce gyro, my navel, and overall I had a positive experience. My mood was elevated, it definitely reduced the gyno look, looked much leaner, longer flaccid length, I definitely rate it’s use but the effects of it pretty much stop not longer after it’s use.
I’ve also tried anavar, which was at at low dose like 10-12mg. And that wasn’t as pleasant, was feeling high blood pressure symptoms. 10mg is supposed to be a low dose for anavar, so I wasn’t expecting much, just wanted to see how my body would go, so I’m not sure how I would go if I was to do the typical dose of 20-25mg.
But yeah i think the topical DHT, which is bioidentical I presume, is the way to go. -
@TopicalsOnBalls did you purchase the cream or make it yourself?
-
@metabolicmilk Probably going to start with 50mg and see how I feel. Main thing is stress resistance -- have a difficult job.

@TopicalsOnBalls said in Any experiences with DHT supplementation?:
You had me at longer flaccid lol. Are you circumcised? The loss of tissue definitely causes shortening.
I also have some gyno as well. Been applying androsterone to the area but not consistently. Is this advisable?
-
@CO2-Maxi nah my foreskin remains intact, the dht cream just made it not look like I had a cold shower.
-
@anabology Did you ever end up trying this? If so how did it turn out?

Less obvious response to a DHT product than I get from androsterone dosed lower by mg. Also more suppression.
Though, I'm fairly sure that the DHT product I got is a scam and has something else entirely in it.
Regardless, I would recommend androsterone for raising DHT. It does not seem to be suppressive, and in fact I get the impression that it elevates my natural production of steroids via its thyroid-like action. -
@saturnuscv What product did you get? Russian star/Titanchem?
In low doses DHT doesn't cause suppression either and in fact it stimulates its own synthesis. Not to say that suppression is necessarily a bad thing especially from DHT, as the suppression of E it causes can be beneficial, and also DHT doesn't damage the testes.
That said i like androsterone too, i get mostly a gaba effect from it, plus it smells very nice -
@pannacottas No it was a popular quote-on-quote "supplier" from Xitter who advertises very heavily to peatosphere folks with testimonials, bloodwork, etc. I won't say exactly who because I got harassed by randoms last time I made this claim. I'm not certain what exactly I got but it was very disappointing compared to haidut's androsterone, or even just pansterone, and this product was allegedly dosed much higher than what I have used of either of those.
It seemed simultaneously to be suppressive but not really apparent in effect, possibly just grossly underdosed. Or, I suppose it's possible that it was just testosterone in DMSO, which seems most likely to be honest.
