    @ThinPicking

    My main marker for removing a substance is simple: if it doesn't feel right and doesn't integrate properly into my life, it's out.

    A prerequisite for any experimentation is being in excellent health. I don't take these substances because I'm sick—it's about play, experimentation, and continuously getting more and more out of the experience.

        Never heard of it. What's your experience with it?

          All fine pal it's just an amusingly elaborate concoction if your goal is to get high. I too have been in the "I can cheat the downside" zone before, in another life now. But not quite so complexly.

            Well, you’re certainly more of a cowboy than Bryan Johnson, who will probably end up like Howard Hughes, if he lives that long. Out of all your substances, I’ve tried only TAK-653 and didn’t get much out of it. But then it’s mainly an antidepressant and I’m not depressed.

            Bryan Johnson is an idiot - but he's not wrong in what he does. He embodies the prime example of what happens when you go into overdrive within the common paradigms, theories, and fantasies of the white-coated consensus of medicine. If you don't ask fundamental questions, you'll end up like him. Most people will do.
            One of the many mistakes he has fallen for is the belief that a reduced metabolic rate contributes to longevity. Thus, he proudly boasts about his low basal body temperature, pulse, and blood pressure. However, questioning this assumption leads to the exact opposite conclusion. If you think TAK-653 is just an antidepressant, then you're lacking a basic understanding of humans and chemicals. ie Piracetam is one of the most famous and timeless classic of nootropics, yet it's officially classified as a drug for brain disorders. We don't have brain disorders — so should we avoid it? That's not how it works.

              What do you mean by "getting high"? I don't smoke pot.

                    Remarks about Ketamine: Ketamine is the “CLEAVER” - the molecule capable of forcefully yet gently splitting the inner observer from the usual everyday references and associations- the Dasein separates itself from being-in-the-world. It elevates the existentiality of existence, creating a dark, almost ominous, yet never frightening space where thoughts can be free from emotional attachment, where memories come and go. It enables deep reflection and contemplation of matters that would otherwise weigh upon oneself.
                    Interestingly, at higher doses, there are also visible modulations with closed eyes. Dark cathedral-like structures appear, sometimes vast desert landscapes that one seems to travel past. It is a very peaceful and serene place. Music and tones reach an almost crystal-clear purity, yet one never quite knows where they originate from.
                    Depending on how one utilizes these thoughts and observations and integrates the results of reflection into their life, this experience can have lasting, life-extending effects. Some also use ketamine for depression and chronic pain, and emerging from those can also be a net benefit for life.

                            @NoeticJuice

                            The 5-HT1A (dulling of erection, reduction of erectile blood flow) and 5-HT1B (sex drive, libido inhibition) receptors are involved in suppressing the male response to a woman. Therefore, the choice to antagonize these is primarily inspired by the pro-aphrodisiac effects of yohimbine, with which I am very satisfied, and the (excluded) metergoline.

                            Thank you for the very interesting links. I skimmed through them and briefly explored some of the rabbit holes they led me to - various subreddits, users, blogs, etc. Due to the volume of information, I’ll return to it all in peace over the next days (or weeks).

                            What stood out positively: a massive aggregation or collection of both well-known and highly exotic molecules, so much new to explore and get inspiration from.
                            What stood out negatively: none of the texts or authors seem to make use of the creative potential that nootropics are supposed to unlock. Many of the writings and their presentation are simply boring and purely informational - a bad but very important sign that these substances haven’t truly activated the enormous creative possibilities within the authors themselves. (Btw. this is an important topic to discuss separately, what actually is the main purpose of nootropics, laser focused narrowmindedness vs free-associative thought streams vs playful-by-any-means raw output vs ...

                              Some updates:

                              Clenbuterol (10–40 mcg) was unfortunately disappointing. It caused unpleasant heart palpitations even with minimal physical exertion. A further reduction in dosage and a different context might be necessary.

                              .
                              Initial experiments with 20 mg Bromantane: minimally stimulating (increased dark circles under the eyes and slight facial muscle tension), auditory enhancement (music experience felt more immersive), increased thought flow (more associations and memory retrieval), enhanced affectivity and mood improvement. Later on, strong fatigue occurred (though not sure due to bromantane, as I had little sleep the previous night), brain fog.

                              Ongoing experiments also include a change in the roa for 2C-B from oral to intranasal. I hope for improved context-sensitive kinetics (faster onset/peak/offset), increased comfort, and reduced body load
                              (maybe even s.c. or i.m., will see)
