I’ve got a problem with Danny Roddy.

@sneedful After reading your completely unhinged rant I now like Danny Roddy even more.

@brad hear hear

Seek assistance. Take aspirin and eat more salt.
When you're a bit better. Pay Roddy for healing consultation.

@ThinPicking blended, boiled mushrooms, and liver, might be exactly what mr snudfill needs.
I second a Danny Roddy zoom sesh @sneedful!

What did you say to Roddy here @eduardo-crispino? Was it a critique of his tweet at the top? That would be reasonable to me, Roddy could occupy the white house right now and turn in to one in 5 minutes.
Just curious for my... virology studies.

@ThinPicking he is being somewhat condescending to people for maga supporting up until now when he himself was pushing some things pro maga or maga adjacent (I am characterizing riling people up into a fervour of impending civil unrest as pro MAGA) , then deleting the posts without acknowledgement it was promoting fervour at some point between now and July 13 2024
you can see I deleted my account after. I deactivate and reactive my account all the time. and if it were easier to delete tweets quickly I would have probably deleted them before he could have even read the criticism I made to him. I don't see much point in criticizing people, it's a fault of mine for typing it out in the first place without considering it is a stupid thing to do. moments after clicking post I often realize what a pointless thing it is to criticize someone
respect to Danny for responding nicely. I wouldn't criticize him again, im all out of fudges

I eat pretty utilitarian but it is kind of crazy how he just slops on the unseasoned ground beef.
The biggest problem I have with Danny though is as far as I can tell the claim that he regrew his hair is fabricated. He has never presented any evidence that I know of.

I still remember watching that video for the first time after a few months of trying carnivore. Never warm, on edge, living off of stress hormones. Then I saw this video. I had heard about Danny when he was mentioned on a podcast I listened to. The music appealed to me alot. It touched something in me. I remember the first time I tried coffee after the carnivore diet. Massive stress response. But I was determined to learn what this other philosophy was.
Now I look back on it as a fond memory, as the beginning of something wonderful, full of exploration and energy.

Not roddy adjacent. Just generally not fond of it either. By assuming "the panic" or "organising the panic" you may in fact be liable to make more likely "the panic". Things can but ought not to "get worse".
I don't see much point in criticizing people
Are abstractions like officials, nation states or religions fair game. Rhetorical.

Yes. The whole "Peatarian" thing and Roddy's perspective, to me, has been like a hyper-focused "mediterranean diet," often excluding grains/pasta, beans, etc. It's like he was going to make a good soup, but just deconstructed real food and made it autistic. If it works for him, fine but yeah, I won't be cooking that stuff.
I seriously wonder if capital "P" Peaters are funded by Coca-Cola or the big sugar lobbies. I don't think it's as bad as the mainstream says, but it's sort of ridiculous. I had a doctor once recommend drinking a Coke to stop headaches (brought on by very warm school buildings/bad smells/loud noises/etc). It does work obviously because of caffeine and sugar. Add 650mg aspirin and then you're going to feel healthy again.
I'm glad they're offering these common sense views with scientific rationale to back it up, as the mainstream gets so incredibly stupid and destructive and totalitarian. But I'm thinking in terms of "more and less" not "all or nothing." There's no reason to never eat beans, or never drink tap water. It's just that the mainstream is like the opposite of Peaters, always promoting things that are actively bad.
No kidding... I hear people talking about drinking 1 gallon of water a day, and avoiding salt and sugar. It's nuts out here.

I don't want to accuse but nothing in the 21s century is organic. It seems nothing in the 20th century was organic. Nothing was ever organic, was it? Astroturfing is ancient and works well.

Also, has he every shown pictures of being "hypothyroid," or any other condition? Not saying I need proof, but it's sort of like a hypochondriac, saying they were bald, tired, cold, hypothyroid, depressed, etc., whatever it is, and then "changed." Some of this may change naturally, but to attribute any or all to Peaty food is a little silly.
His hair regrowth videos are basically engagement bait, hypotheses and no evidence.
-
He's a wounded animal. It's written all over his context.
If you retreat to the middle of nowhere, build a bunker and start saying things like "bury me with". Your past probably has a clue or two in it.

If I trap you. Is your escape organic.

Well, again, nothing is organic, so saying or posting things is a nice way of getting attention or something else. I'm not inclined to believe everything that appears in this ether view of the world.

Ironically, I came across this tweet by his and I think it’s a great defense for him (it was for one of his recipe videos):
“I regularly forget that this video exists, but I think it's a good visual aid for someone who needs inspiration. I made this when I was crunched for time and couldn't go back to the store, which is why the portions are small. Well-cooked zucchini pairs well with eggs, liver, and oysters. It's important to understand these are just ideas and not a ‘day of eating.’ The video emphasizes two things that I think are important: balancing carbohydrate with protein and calcium with phosphorus.”I think autistic people flooding any online health sphere can make it’s major proponents appear more autistic than they are.
