What are recommended practices for pregnant women? I was looking at the brooding lights and my wife eats carrots. I see meth blue is not recommended for pregnant women so I haven't given her any of that.

        @rayp-flava

        Do:

        1. Make sure thyroid function is good
        2. Progest E before 16 weeks, or get progesterone levels checked. This follows from Katharina Dalton's work. Reasonable dose is 3 drops. (3 Popcorn kernel sized drops.)
        3. Offer unlimited ice cream
        4. Expose to beautiful natural landscapes, waterfalls, gentle walks through the woods, encounters with deer, etc
        5. Ensure good peaty diet, follow cravings to the extent possible.

        Don't:

        1. Vaccinate or do anything that stimulates immune system unnecessarily
        2. Excessively perform ultrasounds
        3. Worry about gestational diabetes
        4. Stress out

@rayp-flava check Emma Sgourakis out https://thenutritioncoach.com.au/me-pregnant/
          Brad's reply is spot on.

I had a high progesterone pregnancy (no symptoms, "pregnancy glow"), and it means, as Ray told Emma multiple times (she also discusses it on Danny Roddys podcast), that the baby's head is larger than the norm. If your wife aims for high progesterone, make sure she stretches, squats, and especially does perineal massages during the last weeks of pregnancy (to avoid tearing and delivery stress).

@rayp-flava Awesome! She did many podcasts with Danny Roddy, but also with her Kitty Blomfield (her Saturee partner/ co-founder). I strongly strongly strongly advise your wife to do loooong walks (1hr feels great) and listen to episodes from

              • Weight loss for women: eat more, train less, get results (Emma did a couple there)
              • Body Wisdom; also bioenergetic, focus on women, fertility, pregnancy etc.

Ray Peat pregnancy clips worth listening to.

He also has talked about a chicken experiment, where the egg was injected with glucose and the chick's had bigger brains.

I remember craving fruit in my last trimester.
