          Thank you for notifying.

The source website linked in the RP forum thread is very useful btw, a valuable bookmark imo. Because of Tamara Rubin i knew to stay away from Morton salt and to select certain Instant Pots if i wanted to avoid lead.

          Salt article: https://tamararubin.com/2020/10/how-much-lead-is-in-salt-which-salt-is-safest-to-use-for-cooking-is-himalayan-salt-safe/

Watch those rice and pressure cookers too, some of them are downright contaminated.

Who knows if this Lead Safe Mama person is actually reliable or not?

I continue to use Great Lakes because I don’t know any better brand.

@disfrutarlo I inquired of six different vendors of the same requesting heavy metal analysis every company responded, except Great Lakes. I called them. They refused to give the information.

Ok. And which had the least heavy metals?

Divided Sunset beef gelatin has a good flavor but is pricey. I've bought it several times.

Usually I buy the Knox gelatin packets which I believe is from pork. It smells different, a bit more gamey than the other one which is organic.

I haven't heard of lead being in gelatin. I know arsenic is in rice which is why I wash my rice before cooking. But I don't eat gelatin every day so I'm not too worried about this.

lol. if you eat lots of gelatin you should cook more stocks and gelatinous meats. that's probably better than dry gelatin?
