I'm curious to know what type of shampoo and conditioner you all use and how it may have impacted your hair. It would be nice to hear about your experiences with different hair care products (or routines!) and whether you've noticed any effects with your scalp/hair

I've recently switched to using Aleppo soap, and the results have been really good so far! My hair feels incredibly moisturized and looks amazing

Go ahead and share your routines!

I've tried nearly everything and for me the only thing I really liked is the North American Herb and Spice shampoo and conditioner. Bar shampoos and conditioners leave my hair a weird texture, same with using baking soda.

@Peatriot Baking soda is very strong and messes with your scalp's PH. Bar shampoos tend to be too fatty and add too much oil to the scalp. This has been my experience.

I use "Intelligent" shampoo and conditioner from "Intelligent shop". It works wonders for my hair, feels and looks really well every time I've used it. Just let it sit for some minutes before washing it out to get the most benefits. The ketoconazol is suppose to fight dht in the scalp to prevent thinning/losing hair. The conditioner is just nice cause it doesn't smell like chemicals.

@drain-gang Using eggs is probably the best thing you can do your hair as it provides the nutrients your hair and scalp need and has numerous other benefits. Using it personally, It gives my hair a nice silky and thick texture and makes it glow in a healthy manner. Infinitely better than using industrial goo.

@Svet Agreed. Combining this raw egg routine with BLOO vitalizes the hell out of your scalp. Eggs need to be quality + stirred up well before application I find.

@drain-gang I switched from shampoo to baking soda dissolved in water when I was a freshman, it provides superior volume, dries the scalp less and is far cheaper. It also reduced the rate at which my hair becomes greasy. I've also washed my hair with egg quite a few times before, it's effective but requires that you shower very cold or the eggs cook in your hair which is quite a mess.
You can also use coffee instead of water to dissolve the baking soda, and aspirin can be dissolved rapidly in any baking soda solutions

@abe What's your protocol for egg wash and Bloo? And what kind of results have you seen?

@brad Currently my system involves taking just two days out of the week to apply this routine of mine. I first dampen the scalp then apply the egg second finally the bloo third. I try to massage the egg in as best as I can and leave it for ~10 mins to really allow the nutrients to settle deep within the roots. Then I wash. After a few hours, I wash my hair again to remove anymore possible cooked egg whites that still stayed on (consequence of warm water lol) then apply bloo to be left on my noggin for 10 mins as per usual. Finally thoroughly rinse and air dry. So far the effects of the egg proteins coupled with the MB got rid of my dandruff completely (with consumption of liver ofc). This is my assumption at least. I don't experience scalp itchiness/inflammation anymore like before either. Most importantly for me, the shedding has gone down considerably. 👍

I use Scandinavian Biolabs shampoo and serum. What they claim is supply for a month I've made last for almost three months, and I've shoulder length hair. I find their products pretty good for maintenance. I will probably be adding oral apple polyphenols (@Mauritio started a thread on that) and topical NMN or Niacinamide, which are @haidut 's latest recs.

@Ivy You can make the apple polyphenols into a topical as well. Just dissolve a capsule in water (or apple juice) and apply it to the scalp. Maybe a bit of alcohol could enhance the penetration.
You could also add niacianmide to the solution since it is water soluble as well ( just as the polyphenols).

The studies show that oral OR topical apple polyphenols (procyanidin B2 to be precise) are effective for hair loss, so a combination of both should be very effective. If you add niacinamide and the glucose from apple juice that is hair growth galore.

                        Dare to think.

@Mauritio the serum I use has Niacinamide as its main ingredient, I would rather diversify supplements and routes to see whether I can even out the aggressive fall/winter hair shedding.
