The late Ted from Bangkok counseled many to take Boron a few days a week, and to take short breaks from it regularly. Pretty sure most of his Boron info is still posted at the Earth Clinic forum.
Edit: here's some of Ted's info:

Take the following with a grain of salt as commercial interests may be involved, or simply not properly researched for all i know ...
A supposedly more therapeutic form of Boron, Calcium Fructoborate, CaFB, just one of many sugar borates.
- Calcium Fructoborate: a novel nutrient for Bone & Joints
- Calcium Fructoborate Kills Breast Cancer Cells
- Calcium Fructoborate Helps Symptoms of Osteoarthritis
- The Treatment of Osteoporosis with Calcium Fructoborate
- Calcium Fructoborate Lowers Inflammatory Nitric Oxide and IL-6.
- Calcium Fructoborate Quiets Inflammatory Neutrophils
- Calcium Fructoborate as an Antioxidant
- Calcium Fructoborate Promotes Hormone Balance
I've seen it relatively inexpensive in the past at Amazon by searching directly for Calcium Fructoborate or using a trademark name "Fruitex-B".
Edit:
Dr Hesslink (PDF):
The Fructoborates: part of a family of naturally ocurring sugar complexes, biochemistry, physiology, and impact on human health - review (definitely read the introduction page at the very least)- Index of Dr Hesslinks other Boron articles.
- I guess calcium is not necessary for a fructoborate to exist, and that there are multiple types, then there are also glucoborates.
Edit: i know i can give @Amazoniac credit for some or most of these links. An interesting topic imo, will revisit.

@BioEclectic
On Amazon I can only find Calcium magnesium with boron.
It may be because I'm not in USA. -

When I look up calcium fructoborate and the branded one. I can find other boron supplements though. -
Raisins are pretty good sources of boron averaging about 2mg/100mg. If you can find low PUFA ,sun dried ones. Should be good !
Raisins also have benefits on intestines, increasing transit speed and SCFA in the stool.
125g raisins/day decreased the transit time from 42h to 28h! That's a huge benefit.
I notice lessened constipation from raisins as well."Both sun-dried raisins and cream of tartar appear to be good stool softeners and to shorten intestinal transit time, although the fibre in sun-dried raisins has the added benefit of increasing faecal weight. Both sun-dried raisins and cream of tartar modulate the composition of faecal bile acids and SCFA in a way that has potential health benefits."

Boron lowers PTH and cortisol, while increasing vitamin D and osteocalcin in this animal study.
Osteocalcin is anabolic and androgenic . Just do quick search on it , it has some interesting pro-metabolic properties. -
This is probably the best post on boron (by Travis) .
I agree with the hypothesis that arthritis might be of fungal origin and that borons main effect is anti-fungal. Not only that it also protects against fungal toxins like aflatoxin (https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0946672X23000032)
It's wild that Travis took gram -amounts of boron. It is inherently non toxic , apparently less toxic than salt.https://lowtoxinforum.com/threads/nothing-boring-about-boron.22805/post-451585

@Mauritio
Travis also spoke about boron as a 'natural fluoride's antidote' :"This [catechol‐O‐methyltransferase] enzyme can be safely inhibited with epicatechin gallate, found in high concentrations in green tea. However, green tea also has fluoride; this fact would make me add fluoride's natural antidote—boron—to the tea."

I cant find any borax supplements unless you mean the cleaning / slime making stuff
Indeed, to second @noseleather borax 'for cleaning' is good stuff. (modulo 'slime making' probably .lol)
Anecdotally, I add Borax powder to wash my linens (and light-colored clothes). This is my only 'supplement' with Borax. Idealabs hair tests showed a good load of boron. This was my only change in boron consumption. (I used to and I do eat quite a bit of raisins too.)
