Why are people obsessed with drinking water at night?

What’s going on? I never get cravings like these. It’s very common to see comments online about how good it feels to drink a glass of water after waking up from disrupted sleep.I have to force myself to drink my first glass of water in the morning because my body doesn’t crave it that much. And I don’t drink a lot of water overall.
Maybe people are just extremely dehydrated?

Vasopressin has a circadian and probably infradian rhythm. Everything does really. You can also move them, be careful with that.
Responding to it with a significant volume of hypotonic fluid is probably a bad idea. Unless the distal stomach and proximal small intestine is occupied.
