MTHFR - intense anxiety from methyl b vitamins
-
i have mthfr, took some methyl b6 & b12, i had taken them a couple years ago daily with 0 issue. wondering why now they are causing an issue.
my first guess it get magnesium & vit D tested. Or maybe i was low on b vitamins and i took too much too soon?
Not sure what to do
-
Just get your B vitamins from food if the supps are giving you issues

-
@RawGoatMilk88 i thought methyl forms b vitamins are rare in food
-
No the methyl forms are always the naturally occurring forms in food.
-
@RawGoatMilk88 are you sure? everything ive read is contrary. The mthfr lowers the effectively conversion into methyl, the active form
-
Yes Iโm sure, unless itโs a fortified โfood productโ with supplemental folic acid.
Natural foods have the methylated form.
-
@RawGoatMilk88 Youre right, but those are only small amounts of methyl form
-
@AndrewPeatMatrix Do u eat enough on a regular basis? How many cals?
-
@BroJonas i dont track cals but im always satiated and eating plenty

B vitamins often have issues with contamination and allergens. Its better to get them from food. Eat liver and oysters often
