Yeah I feel like a dumbass.

This dose once got me to my desired waking temp and a few weeks later now my waking temp is 96.9 and my afternoon barely hits 98.1. And my hands, feet, and nose can’t warm up.

I split my doses as carefully and annoyingly as possible to not get too much t3 at a time.

At this point I could try to up the dose even more (which I’m not). So I guess I’ll be weaning off it slowly. Maybe less t4 is what I need and just switch in some more t3.

This journey has been super frustrating.

Don't take more than half a grain per hour. If you need a higher dose than that spread it out over the morning, optimally stopping once you reach normal temps.

Anyway, Peat said that Thyroid function returns to normal after 3 days of no medication. Not a big deal. Good luck.

@pittybitty Thanks. I’ve been taking 2 3/4 grain doses at bfast and dinner, and one 1/2 at lunch. So my bigger doses were 40mg. Maybe that’s too big of doses.

Felt better today. Had a really hot week and then a rainy cold front and my body was not handling the cold well

How's your liver function and stress levels? If one or both are rather bad, the T4 probably goes more to reverse T3 instead of T3, which is pretty anti-thyroid in itself.

Have you tried less T4 or even T3 only for a period of time? If you try T3 only, split it up into tinier doses at a time, like not more than 3 to 5 mcg per hour.

@BroJonas how many calories do you get?

@Luke My stress levels are generally low, fortunately. When stressful times arrive I think that’s when I get the coldest, like I’m not handling the stress well.

Liver function I’m not sure. My eating foundation is solid. I do get digestive issues and runs is a common theme. Certain spicy foods set me off for days. I’m stuck between trying to eat enough for my frame but also keeping good digestive health. I’ve been handling coffee much better now than I have in the past. And I take taurine a few times a week

@cs3000 That’s what I need to focus on. I was actually trying to cut the last couple weeks at around 2,500 cal. But if I’m not really tracking at all I’m probably barely hitting that anyway.

I’m 6’1 185lbs prolly 20% bf and workout a few times a week real low volume with lots of rest days.

I realize I probably haven’t ever consistently ate 3k calories or more.

I grew up with a long term eating disorder which affected my development I’m sure. I was 6’1 130 lbs about 10 years ago so I’ve made some good gains since then and can’t remember that last time I skipped a meal 😁

I’ve been tracking my calories lately to get around 3k and I’m feeling actually really damn good now. Spring is also hitting, suns out

@cs3000 I never changed my dosing. I didnt want to do anything drastic just from an off day.

I haven’t actually checked my morning temp lately but I’ve just felt very nice warm and stable all day. But it’s also warming up for spring and that’s got to be a huge part of it.
