1 week ago I decided to switch from butter to high quality olive oil extra virgin from Greece.

I used low intake for cooking, but plenty after cooking.
      Diet was:
Rice with mix of veggies, olives or sometimes just olives and oil
Pasta with olive oil and salt sometimes with tomato sauce too
      Pineapple
      Dates
      Coke
Once every few days a bit of protein from meat or tuna

I didn't apply anything to the skin.

@Androsclerozat Looking good, add some Mackerel for the Omega 3 two to three times a Week😇

It takes a wabi heart to recognise sabi beauty.
Make every day a doorway to delight.
wabi-sabi reminds you that life is fragile and temporary, it is as impermanent as anything else in nature, so why not give yourself permission to be just that, yourself?

Re: My 1 week of olive oil and low protein for skin (with photos) looks good . But do you also feel better? Guessing in general best in long term would be half n half(half olive oil half butter) and more protein (eg egg yolks) but of course people and situations differ.

I think are the MUFAs that help, but what if PUFAs also? People having good results on skin quality with fish oil I saw. Maybe it must be a liquid form of oil that penetrate well into the skin. It makes sense that avocado works too.

I dont know about ETSY, for me its a bit suspicious. im talking from ignorance though
Go to your supermarket and look for the most expansive olive oil.

if you fear about having heavy metals from the container, then pick the bottled one

I went to tanning beds and i stood 20 mins for the first time at highest frequency
The machine was MegaSun P9 that have also red lights and I was expecting a full redness and itching because its recommeded few mins the first time
I didnt use any solar protection
Just put some vitamin E cream over after

Im thinking that if its the lack of pufa that prevented this burn and if with lots of olive oil i will replenish my pufa stores

if we look at nature, olive oil grows in places where you need a bit of tanning in order to protect yourself of that excessive sunlight. What if olive oil, MUFAs are actually for that purpose, tanning, meanwhile saturated fat keeps you white as snow in order to allow you to assimilate vitamin D from the little sun you get in cold countries.

                      From ChatGPT:

When eaten, extra virgin olive oil (EVOO) can improve facial skin appearance thanks to its nutrient-dense profile and anti-inflammatory effects. Here’s what makes it particularly beneficial for your skin from the inside out:

                      ⸻

🔑 Key Skin-Enhancing Components in Olive Oil (When Eaten)

                      1. Monounsaturated Fats (MUFA) – especially Oleic Acid
                        • Oleic acid (~70-80% of olive oil) helps maintain skin hydration, elasticity, and softness.
                        • Supports the integrity of cell membranes, which can improve skin tone and texture.
                        • Reduces skin inflammation and irritation in acne-prone or sensitive individuals.

                      2. Polyphenols (e.g., Hydroxytyrosol, Oleuropein)
                        • These are powerful antioxidants that:
                        • Fight oxidative stress (which accelerates aging and dulls the skin).
                        • Protect collagen and elastin in the skin.
                        • May reduce sun damage over time by neutralizing free radicals.

                      3. Vitamin E (Tocopherols)
                        • A fat-soluble antioxidant that:
                        • Helps prevent skin aging by protecting skin lipids and cell membranes.
                        • Improves skin barrier function, reducing dryness and flakiness.
                        • Supports healing and scar reduction.

                      4. Anti-Inflammatory Effects
                        • Chronic low-grade inflammation shows up on the face as puffiness, redness, and breakouts.
                        • EVOO reduces systemic inflammation, which often translates to a calmer, more even skin tone.

                      5. Support for Hormonal Balance
                        • Healthy fats like those in olive oil are essential for hormone production (including testosterone and DHEA), which indirectly supports skin quality, oil balance, and firmness.
