The connection between dopamine and serotonin

      https://haidut.me/?p=2830

It just so happens that dopamine and serotonin have an inverse relationship. Each one suppressed the levels of the other. Thus, when serotonin is high dopamine is low and vice versa. That relationship extends to synthetic molecules that mimic the effects of serotonin or dopamine at the receptor level. For example serotonin agonists suppress dopamine synthesis and vice versa.

Serotonin (5-HT) promotes blood vessel thickening, may cause cardiovascular disease (CVD)

Serotonin (5-HT) may drive brain/liver/pancreatic and many other cancers, at the genomic level

Serotonin (5-HT) increases inflammatory mediators (IL-6, NF-kB), may cause atherosclerosis

SSRI drugs, serotonin (5-HT) can cause chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS)

Blocking serotonin may treat obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD)

Drop in dopamine behind giving up

And it goes on and on and on!

      https://haidut.me/?s=serotonin

Looks like maybe microdosing a DA could be the way to go?

Edit: Looks like the weird side effects from DAs are truly just a stress response?

If pramipexole doesn't work out, it looks like you can also increase dopamine and (hopefully) lower serotonin through MCR agonism. That would mean a peptide like melanotan 2 or PT-141. I already have some melanotan 2 but the jury is still out on melanoma risk so that means PT-141.

Looks lik maybe MCR agonism is akin to a stress response?

Appears as though metergoline is the way to go even though it mostly works on serotonin

Now the challenge is finding bulk metergoline

@engineer melanotan makes you black through NO stimulation btw, this is why it also gives u massive boners, prolactinogenic, not peaty, fuck melanotan all these mechanisms abt it are just speculations because "erm akshually melanin good!", didnt peter thiel like fund these popular peptides or smth idfk

@engineer metergoline is goated, any chinese nigga on echemi would sell it to you for around like 400$ a gram, 4mg a day for me gave me all the famous benefits of blocking serotonin at a significant rate, but if you can try getting ur hands on the brand name Liserdol product, its gonna be much easier

@hwisdom it doesnt specifically touch NO, it just stimulates melanocytes through mc1r which is normally agonized by alpha msh, and NO increases mc1r expression like you would expect in a stress state

remember, iNOS is bad and eNOS is fine
