What are the Peaty thoughts on cold showers/cold plunges? I know they can increase cortisol, but there are some thoughts they can reduce baseline cortisol over time.

@yerrag I was on methimazole for 1 year when I was seeing a conventional doctor. I haven't been on medication for 4 years.

I know Peat says hyperthyroidism is fine, but the high thyroid antibodies concern me.

I now see a naturopath who doesn't want me on medication.

These are my hormone levels. Estrogen seems to be back in a more normal range since Peating, which is good. Not sure about the high SHBG? I also take 60 mg of bioidentical Progesterone daily, applied topically.

Not sure what else to say, but Peating seems to have caused me to develop a hyperthyroid.
