@albion I tried everything through the years, beside injectable.

For some reason, I do not have the issue with the scrotal application, but it doesn't convert to Progesterone, and it actually feels more like something else when applied on the scrotum, more like androgen like I would say.

There is a thread on the older forum from Haidut on progesterone on scrotum raising androgens.

This is funny though, as exactly two years ago I was just doing ok with a 50mg oral Preg SR from compounded pharmacy, and my levels always came back low without supplementation.

I can't really tolerate it for 3/4 weeks, last time I tried I had to stop at a week marker from starting, insomnia was another issue I had.

I tried also cream, and by the 3rd or 4th days I would get even stronger anxiety and increased HR than capsules.

I was taking Pregnenolone consistently starting the 2019, I remember feeling a bit wired or something by the 3rd day, but I would notice the benefits and the increased blood level of Progesterone, which is my main goal here

Mine comes from a compounding pharmacy, you going to need a script from a doc for it.

A good brand that it is known in the Peat community is Health Natura powder Pregnenolone, otherwise look for a micronized Pregnenolone supplement that had almost zero fillers.

Compounded SR oral

I'm a male, both Pregnenolone and Progesterone are low.

In the past, I remember some benefits when using Pregnenolone, but now I just get more anxiety and more stress, overly exited as well. I suspect it converts too much into Pregnenolone-S

Does anyone know what could cause the over conversion of Preg to Preg-S?

Georgi Dinkov @haidut, mentioned a couple of times in videos with Mercola, that Progesterone dissolved in Vitamin E has same half life of the Vitamin E, which is 44hr.

However, when I checked my blood level of Progesterone it came back low, as before supplementation. And when I tried to take the Progesterone 2/3 hour prior the blood test, Progesterone came back a tiny bit higher from my baseline, which is .1 ng/ml, indicating a very fast half life, at list in the blood.

I'm a male by the way, and from my use of Progesterone in Vitamin E, I believe this is a good product to "wash out" the excess estrogen for sure, and in case of stress to use acutely. Maybe not so much to recover a deficiency? since circulating level of Progesterone are also important I believe.

@risingfire how long prior the carrot salad would you say? I generally take my Armour 30min or less before the meal

knowing the effect of the carrot salad on the gut, I'm wondering if taking NDT before a meal, then after the meal having the carrot salad will just "clean" out the NDT as well. in other words if the carrot salad could potentially bind the NDT just ingested prior the meal.

what are your thoughts/experiences with this?

3 grains all in once is for sure too much.

I made an experiment years ago when I was taking NP thyroid. 1 grain taken on empty stomach, then I measured my FT3 2hr after and it came back at 4.5, 6hr after it was at 4.1, showing it doesn't come down that quickly.
Probably 1 grain would be the max NDT to take all in once, if it is taken with food, we can then expect even a lower release of the FT3.

I now take Armour and follow a similar schedule to yours, half grain on empty stomach before breakfast and another half before lunch.

Do you take yours right before the meal or after, and wondering what time do you take your last half and what time you can sleep after that. I tried to take half grain right before going to bed, and it definitely interfered with my sleep

I think the T3 in Armour is bound to protein, so it may be more slow released already than Cytomel for example. I’m not sure Peat used to refer to a synthetic T3 and therefore the need to take it with food multiple times per day?

I have been using this digital thermometer by boncare. I generally use it orally as I get more consistent numbers compare to axillary. However, I think somethin is off here, let me explain:

according to the manufacturer, normal temp for axillary is 95.4 / 98.6, orally is 96.3 / 99.2, so top range is optimal.

When I measure my temp orally it comes at 99.2 (top range), but if I check right after axillary I never get a 98.6, but always lower. so?

I always get frustrated with taking temps, what thermometer and method do you guys recommend?

I have been taking oral magnesium for years too, but looking back at my Mg RBC I really don't see any increase or very little, even though when I started I did feel the calming effect of it

I thought a blood donation I made few months ago may have had an impact to my latest Mg RBC, but I think the test is just a reflection of what is inside the cells.

interesting, I think I recall of a study mentioning 200/300mg of oral Mg at the time, was the ceiling as far as absorption.

However, I would think if another route of administration is used and someone is deficient, the extra would replenish the cells. Using the Magnoil at 5 drops things are fine, but I do notice when using more I almost feel wired or something.

What other transdermal product would you recommend?
