@max I’m glad you pushed him the way you did. He keeps trying to ignore and dodge that question of renaming the forum. (I asked the same thing myself and when he didn’t answer I said it was suspicious... that got me banned for “disrespect” in “his house” hahaha)

I think someone is incentivizing him but not Garrett, it seems more sinister than that and it’s tied into his messiah complex instead of purely for monetary gain. Garrett is probably being paid by the same entity.
@AkJono This is what they all do... start off speaking some sense and then gradually go off the deep end dragging you with them. He’s being paid to deliberately make the alternative health movement look insane.

I feel like he’s not smart enough to run a long con and he really does believe he is right with this low toxin garbage. Someone said in another thread that he has some fundie chat where he recruits other religious loons to the forum. I wonder if someone sinister took advantage of that and his obvious mental illness to manipulate him into self destructing RPF. And maybe that person is also “threatening his family” under another name to fuel the crusade.

@ThinPicking Interesting. I would like to believe it’s just that. Maybe he is just a delusional idiot but is unknowingly being manipulated in some way. Remember Ray Peat has been watched by the govt since the 60s. The filmmakers that interviewed him back in 2015ish had to book an Air B&B to film at because his place had been broken into and all messed up - papers everywhere. Apparently “they” would periodically do that over the years I guess to intimidate him.
So that film never got made... the forum implodes a year after his death... Mercola making moves to market a Progest E of his own... con man Garrett fueling the fire that Ray’s diet is toxic... it’s all weird as hell.

@jwayne Does anyone know, was he always a fundie? I don’t recall him weaving religion into every post until recent years. I do remember from the very beginning he had an authoritarian streak that was at odds for someone running a “Ray Peat forum”.
You would think exposure to Ray’s work would expand his mind for the better but he’s just become more close minded and tyrannical over time. It just doesn’t add up.

When I got the ban I made a comment that Ray’s work helped me and still does, since everyone was piling on that he destroyed their health. That Christ lady responded “did it though?” mentioning the B1 stuff. So now we’re supposed to throw the baby out with the bathwater! It’s like these people saw Ray as a God and now want to tear him down because they didn’t get the results they expected.
@Regina Yes love the big show of unbanning his star member Georgi, then continues on his banning rampage for the rest of us little people. I admit I lost respect for Georgi for not taking a stand on that or on Mercola.
