Pufa depletion thread drop ur cures n shit
-
Pufas have got a half life of 680 smth days and it takes 8 years to go back to normal levels
But if you do ur stuff correctly i heard that it could be much faster
Some stuff that i know abt:
-Full spectrum Vit E: the main antioxidant against PUFA’s evil 4-HNE (olive oil + avocado wont work since they contain pufas themselves)
-beef tallow to displace the pufas in ur body
-cutting down to 3% bodyfat to bulk up with normal fats back to 13% whatever
-aajonus talked abt 90min hot baths will start to free up the HYDROGYNATED seed oils
-shark liver oil has been shown to sheath around PUFAs deeming them ineffective n shit
-anything that lowers cortisol (so that the visceral fat gets freed up) so this includes pretty much any normal biohacking thing (grounding circadian rythm whatever), but some stuff that are worth mentioning:
*bioidentical pregnenolone
*thyroid (either desicated beef thyroid or just pharma grade)
*circadian rythm n shit (sunlight grounding sleep lowering kvällens stress hormoner (stress at night my english aint ’lishing)Anyone know anything else?

@hwisdom
Aspirin or Sodium Salicylate also can help -
@wrl wont aspirin help with everything hahaha
-
@hwisdom You'd be dead at 3% bodyfat

Something that happened to me, (and confused me at the time) was a recent experiment going nearly zero fat in an attempt to lose body fat. I must have released old stored pufa by going so low because I got an inflammation response after a few days and put 20lbs on! And I kid you not, that 20 lbs went on really really fast, (like a week/week and a half). I did not take Vitamin E while doing this very low fat experiment and I think the recirculated fat stores, (that after so long I would have assumed would be more pufa free) lowered my metabolism and on normal maintenance calories I gained significant weight. It was such an interesting experience honestly.

And one of the most important for PUFA depletion, coconut oil, for more than one reason.
Replacement oils to cook with, butter, ghee, palm kernel oil, deodorized coconut oil, beef and lamb tallow, etc etc.

DNP nukes it
-
@onliest is this the mechanism for DNP? Nuking pufas? But bcus ur nuking too many pufas at a time you like die n shit?

@onliest Do you have to DNP down to 3% BF or just DNP 4 days/wk every other week for like 2 months? I'm at 15% BF atm and have pretty much cut out all PUFA.
-
@hwisdom it makes fat oxidation go turbo. If you are high in PUFAs it's probably the fastest way to nuke them, but be careful and DYOR if you choose to go this path.

@MasterPeatler A beginner DNP cycle is 250mg-375mg for 2-3 weeks. 3% BF does not sound healthy. I wouldn't worry too much if you're already 15% BF, unless you wanted to run it for aesthetic purposes.
I eat a PUFA-rich meal maybe once every week or two, no issues. I think being too anal about health is counterproductive.

@MasterPeatler Cataracts pretty much only affect women. If you get peripheral neuropathy, stop immediately. Yes, antioxidants like vit C+E, NAC, are recommended. Also, aspirin and niacinamide to prevent excessive lipolysis.
-
@onliest This is the way.
My stuff is weak though so I frontload 800mg then dose based on the amount of heat I like which is around 6 and 500mg for the next few days.
-
@MasterPeatler I'm at the end of my first cycle. Did 250mg for a week and then 375mg.
The weight fluctuations are crazy, like 7 lbs in a day. Excited to see the results 5-7 days when I shed the water I've been holding.

On twitter, @haidut mentioned using vitamin K3 as a safer version of DNP to drop some weight. (This was back around ~Mar 15 2023.)
In one of the reply streams, someone posted a link to this product:
https://www.medixlife.com/shop/vicasol-buy-online-menadione/
I am not aware of a US source. I would love to find one and give it a try.
