      @Androsclerozat I plan on living minimalistically and Im moving to a hill station rather than the actual mountains (although the mountains are not particulary far off). Conisdeing my life in retrospect I value health more than money .

        I'm currently in vacation at 1800m between Spain and France. I didn't notice anything special on me yet but a lot of Olympic Games athletes (from all countries) are here to train as the place is famous for the air quality/lots of sun and general physiological benefits of altitude.

            Coincidence or not, but I lost 8 kg when I was in Mexico City for a week.

              As someone who lives at 6,000ft alt I really don't notice higher altitudes till I get to about 10,000ft, but when I go on vacation to an area at sea level the air feels thick. I have noticed that people who visit my area from lower altitudes tend to struggle if they exert themselves physically.

                @sneedful Font-Romeu.
                Actually I'm back from it since 7 days and I've some updates. Hiking there is wonderful.
                Personally I didn't noticed any change but my mom told me she have more endurance and feel less out of breath doing sport now that we are back at normal altitude

                  I know of 2 people who had to move away from living on high altitude because of deteriorating health due to this.
                  One in Colorade and the other in Utah. Both lived at 7000 feet.
                  How does that fit into this?
