I wanted make a separate post on this.
So most people on my last thread suggested I should start T3.

(1.6 TSH and waking temps of 35.5-36 going up to only 36.1 afternoon at best)

Only problem is I‘m in Germany and dont have access to Cynomel.
My two options are either Tyronene or Thybon from a german pharmacy which is also just supposed to be T3.
Thybon would be alot easier for me to get but I‘m not sure if it’s reliable?
And Tyronene is liquid and hard to dose. (One drop is 8nmg idk if thats too much for me to start.)

    Which one should I get?help

if you order cynomel from farmaciasdelnino.mx they have a doctor on staff who puts a prescription in the package. You can probably get it delivered

@vocedilegno do I have to ask for a prescription or does it get put in every package?

@lulueatsmeat when I ordered it they put it in there without me asking. I think that’s how they help it get across the border to you

@lulueatsmeat a while, several weeks. A friend recently ordered some and it took a similarly long time

Hey! Any updates? Which one did you eventually get?

Did you order the thyroid from http://farmaciasdelnino.mx/ ?

It’s not worth going on thyroid with a TSH of 1.6, which is close to ideal and can be lowered in the 0.5-1 range easily with nutrition and stress management.

I mixed tyronene with drink mix alcohol (resulting in roughly less than half the strength ) and seems to b doing the the job. I tested it by double dosing (as ray suggested in an email to someone(The question er didn’t give a brand name just that it was t3 in alcohol)) then taking pulse and temp a little later, which noticeably increased.

@lulueatsmeat be careful starting T3, I ran into a lot of issues and gained weight. I found it better personally to improve my thyroid function with nutrition & stress management. If I could go back I would have kept a very low dose for a few months just to kick start things. I had a lot of improvement with sleep quality and energy for the first part. Good luck 👍🏼

Yes, for a while, when supplementing with synthetic T3 and T4, if there is insufficiency in Se and I.

The Effects of Iodine Deficiency on Thyroid Hormone Deiodination. Maria-Jesus Obregon et al. Thyroid Journal 2025. Spain
Deficiency in selenium and iodine can negatively impact thyroid hormone metabolism, even when thyroid hormone supplementation is used.
                        Explanation:
                        • Deiodinases allow tissues to customize either enhancing or decreasing the intracellular concentration of thyroid hormone at the single-cell level and independently of plasma.
                        • Deiodinase action is essential to ensure optimal intracellular concentrations of T3 at the single-cell level, in a temporal-dependent window.

Selenium is used up when there is HM toxicity or excess ROS.
Iodine is used up when there are allergy, immune problems, infection ...

@LucH sorry not sure what you’re saying. That i was or am possibly deficient in Se and I?

                            Well, it's a possibility.
Make the difference between RDA and pharmacological effect.
It also depends on your underlined state: low-grade inflammation, toxins, etc.
Most people (80 %) are short in Mg.
Not optimal in Iodine if you want to counter-act an immune problem or if you're a woman (breast). Eating fish 2x/wk. is not sufficient, in this case. Not sufficient if you've got bromine / Chlorine / fluorine from your "environment".
Need an extra dose of Selenium to get rid of and Iodine to take the place of these molecules. Mind the way to proceed: Too much of a good thing is bad.

                            Excerpt 1
Iodine can support the innate immune system to fight bacterial and viral infection and has immunomodulatory effects on immune cells. This immune enhancing effect increases expression of cytokines and chemokines that control cell trafficking and regulate the nature of the immune response. Overall, this has the effect of enhancing the immune system’s ability to fight infection while keeping the immune response balanced.

This article is going to explain how iodine can support the innate immune system to fight bacterial and viral infection and has immunomodulatory effects on immune cells.
The key-concept I want to put forward here is the “immune-modulatory effect”.
