Consensus on a good Vitamin C source?

Ray has spoken of quality issues with vitamin C supplements.
Has anyone found one that they consider safe?
So far Quali-C sounds safe

"Over the next 20 years, my own increased sensitivity to synthetic ascorbate led me to look for such reactions in others. The same people who reacted to it often reacted similarly to riboflavin and rutin, which were also made from cornstarch by oxidation. I ascribed the reaction to some industrial contaminant that they had in common, possibly the heavy metals introduced with the sulfuric acid. The heavy metal contamination of synthetic ascorbate is so great that one 500 mg tablet dissolved in a liter of water produces free radicals at a rate that would require a killing dose of x-rays to equal. The only clean and safe vitamin C now available is that in fresh fruits, meats, etc. The commercial stuff is seriously dangerous."

@LetTheRedeemed I'm looking for topical for the head
I'm also looking into megadosing based on some theory I thought I saw about it's impact on lymph node infection. -
@LetTheRedeemed I believe almost all vitamin C supplements are either derives from mold or contain heavy metals. I dont have great experience with supplemental Vit C

@Serotoninskeptic I know, that's what stinks. Quali C is sounding safe...
-
@LetTheRedeemed Ive never tried it. Do you have any good testimonies from people who have used it?

The high dose folks over at the old forum only used Quali-C, have seen it in many posts. Made in Scotland using non-GMO corn etc, etc.
Have been using Quali-C about 3 or 4 years myself however my daily dose varies between 100-1000mg depending. There were times early on when i would take 2-3 grams a day for a few weeks straight with no ill effects to speak of.
I do recall the standard Chinese Vit-C giving me a bit of a runny nose pretty consistently.

Yes, this has already been discussed hundreds of times at the Ray Peat forum.

@AinmBeo I wanted to know what other people may have thought with any later evidence. I’ve read all the old rpf posts and in fact linked the forum discussion here

@BioEclectic thanks for sharing. I’m probably gonna go with that one

@Serotoninskeptic no just what’s shared on rpf
