      @Kilgore

If you're normothyroid to begin with, your fever may be a result of your body having the ability to raise temperature when needed. You don't need to thyroid at all.

Since our immune system creates ROS to destroy pathogens, these ROS may spill over to cause oxidative stress, our body has to rely on ita primary antioxidants to counter oxidative stress.

These processes consume energy that would divert rhe body from optimal mitochondrial oxidation. Because less CO2 is produced, the body can become acidic and this disrupts the virtuous cycle needed by the body to be keep running in a self-correcting and rebalancing manner. Less CO2 in blood may also restrict tissue oxygenation, and lead to less energy produced while increasing lactic acid production while decreasing CO2 production.

Taking baking soda, drinking carbonated water, or breathing carbogen will provide an external source of CO2 and bicarbonate to compensate for the temporary shortfall in endogenous CO2 production. Drinking citrus fruit juices also provides bicarbonate as rhe citrate readily xonverts to bicarbonate in the body.

@kilgore benzocaine spray comes in handy to take the edge off, maybe enough to sleep at least
cistus tea or geranium pelargonium sidoides root) extract if tolerated might help it resolve it a day or 2 sooner

for future reference, 5mg methylene blue, 500mg vitamin c, and like 1-2 mg cyproheptadine is my go-to for if I feel like something might be coming on. and like 10,000 iu vitamin d whereas my normal dose when I take it (not in summer time) is 3000iu

Oregano oil. 4 drops on tongue! It’s like warm hellfire to evil throat bastards.
Probably should be drinking nac + glycine combo. 1/4 tsp each couple few times a day.
              Stay warm.
              Aspirin. Then more aspirin.
              Bone broth soup.

After sleeping and staying in bed all throughout yesterday I feel much better. Now I am just coughing, still a little sore throat but I think that's battle damage. I think sleeping it off was the most important thing.

Ill do this. Thanks for the detailed advice as always.

some think the 'flu' is actually an acidosis

I have been able to induce all the symptoms of a cold, in varying
degree from a simple coryza to that of la grippe and the "flu," by the
induction of an artificial acidosis through the administration of ammo
nium and calcium chlorides. The degree of severity of the symptoms
was in direct ratio to the degree of acidosis induced. In the severer
degree of acidosis, all the classical symptoms of the "flu" were present,
even including a low degree of fever. The symptoms rapidly subsided
upon the administration of sodium bicarbonate in large doses by mouth
                  and by rectum.

                      Still coughing 😞
Over the night my tube fills up with mucus so I start to cough because of that then once that clears out I have a more dry type of cough I think. Either way it usually turns into a fit and it takes me some time to calm down and stop. Will try sodium bicarb rn.

@Kilgore, I’m sorry to hear you’re still suffering. 😞 Not the most comfortable, but if you don’t already do so maybe sleeping propped up with pillows will help prevent mucus from accumulating overnight? And a teaspoon of honey throughout the day might help with the lingering cough? My dad had a residual dry cough after having the flu at the beginning of this year and honey helped. Also, lozenges—I always keep a bag of these in the pantry:

I hear you. Take medicine. Make chicken lemon soup with lots of gelatin and mostly broth. Oranges and sunlight when possible.

I was sick three times from early September to March. Many people I know and work with have been sick off and on in this time frame too with "covid" / flu, etc. Last month, after getting better from a cold, I got food poisoning, at least I think it was this due to a meal I purchased that made me feel ill. Thing is, I heard several other people had similar "stomach flu" at the same time. Maybe bacteria entering the food from workers? I don't know. Then after getting over that stomach flu / bile disruption, I got another cold. Now, I still see people getting sick from what appears to be that wave from the last 2 weeks. The weather has been, in my own estimation, extreme: a very cold winter with several heavy snows, and a very manic spring with jumps from high of 80s to lows in the 20s. And of course the manufactured "clouds" appear nearly every day bringing dry/itchy heat, too.

My theory is Tchijevsky was onto something with solar activity and human health. We're at the top of the 11 year solar cycle, the last peak being around 2015-2016. This is when sunspots are at a maximum. Check out the article below:

                          • Most magnetic storms on Earth happen during the Equinoxes in March and September

                          https://www.thesuntoday.org/space-weather/what-is-solar-maximum/

Weird enough, because I was sick early in September and the last week of March just after the Equinox (and also in January).

Again, if we know we're at the peak of geomagnetic storms, then we should prepare to stay healthy. But the cycle suggests we're entering healthier times for the next 5+ years.

A paper on the 11-yr solar cycle, viamin D, etc:
                          https://sci-hub.ru/10.1016/j.mehy.2009.12.002

                          Conclusion

Arguments have been advanced in support of the hypothesis that influenza pandemics are intimately connected with solar cycle control of vitamin D levels in humans. As discussed, solar ultraviolet B (UV-B) radiation which is the main production source of vitamin D in humans waxes and wanes over the Schwabe solar cycles. It is proposed that maximum vitamin D production levels at the earth’s surface which occur during solar cycle minimum would provide prophylactic protection and promote immune system well being against influenza. Contrariwise, it is proposed that minimum vitamin D production levels at the earth’s surface which occur during solar cycle maximum would prove detrimental by failure to promote adequate levels of prophylactic protection and immune system well being. It is further proposed that changes in vitamin D levels, perhaps even of a relatively modest nature, could trigger factors important in controlling influenza infectivity. As developed, vitamin D levels at the earth’s surface arise both directly through solar cycle control of the amount of UV-B radiation, and indirectly through control of atmospheric circulation and dynamics with examples of the latter processes having been cited. Both the direct and indirect processes are important in support of the hypothesis being presented here: solar cyclic control of human vitamin D levels and influenza pandemics.

                          Also:

Under cloud-free skies, the most important atmospheric factors affecting surface UV radiation are stratospheric ozone, followed by tropospheric ozone and aerosols and, to a lesser extent, NO2 and SO2 and other trace gases in the atmosphere of urban areas [23]. (Outside the region affected by the Antarctic ozone hole, changes in ultraviolet radiation due to anthropogenic trace gases are rather small and are within the range of variability from other causes
[24]). Changes in total atmospheric ozone are dominated by how much ozone is in the mid- to lower-stratosphere, with approximately ninety percent of the atmosphere’s total ozone column being located in the stratosphere [25].

How much oil is contained in dry oregano? Because I put oregano / herb mixes in my soup and that makes the flavor better, seems to help with sickness too, just like herbal tea.
