Bioenergetic Shoulder Rehab
-
Tore some muscle/connective tissue in shoulder yesterday boxing.
First things that come to mind are upping collagen/gelatin consumption, occasional large aspirin doses, more baking soda.
Only consistent supplements are b - complex, creatine and corti-non (prog + dhea)
Diet is pretty clean, although I did have PUFAbomb Chick-Fil-A the night before....
Any additions or recommendations?

Just off the top of my head, copper and Quali-C. If you don't have quick access to Quali-C then make it a fruit based vitamin C.
I won't, nor the veterans here, recommend regular Vitamin C because all of it is manufactured in China. Much of it is contaminated and all of it allergenic by nature of it's manufacturing process.
Careful with the copper dose, in case you don't have experience with it, it's easy to overdo. Do not take it together with Zinc or Vitamin C, space them at least a couple or more hours.
Magnesium is needed for practically everything, are you getting enough?
There's more than a few things that i'm forgetting,
-
Gelatin is good, but you want to make sure that you get a full-spectrum of collagen. There are several different types. If you can, go to a local butcher and ask for a scapula and/or lamb/chicken necks. These will give you full spectrum collagen.
No need to do large doses of aspirin. 325mg a day with adequate K2(1mg per 325mg) should be enough. You should consider larger doses of K2 around 5-10mg to assist with healing. Vit E as well, I typically do 100IU daily, at minimum.

@PeaterParrot BPC-157
-
@onliest this is the way
Seriously, I separated my shoulder about 6 years ago and it bothered me for about two years. BPC-157 made it go away permanently. I have zero pain or discomfort and have not had any for about 4 years now.

@PeaterParrot Kuinone
-
@evan-hinkle did you inject or take orally?
-
Dancing is S tier activity. Best of luck on your smooth moves.
-
@onliest I used orally, but injecting would eliminate the arganine most of the orals come with.
-
@evan-hinkle Maybe I'll pick up some BPC. Glad to hear the oral helped your shoulder, most people say wound healing is negligible with oral so have been somewhat discouraged considering the cost.
-
@BioEclectic Thanks for the recommendations. I stay away from manufactured vitamins, been drinking a lot of orange juice. I take Mag Gly 500mg a few times a week. You have a recommendation for copper source/type? I've mostly been seeing copper gluconate. Thanks.
-
@JulofEnoch You don't think daily aspirin use could delay wound healing? That was my reasoning behind staggering it every 2 days.
-
@PeaterParrot yes, and I didn’t heal on my first round, it wasn’t until I saw that clinical outcomes are depending on 10mcg/kg dosing, (there’s so little on dosing because BPC and peptides in general are still the Wild West). Shoot for 10mcg/kg, (this dose healed the shoulder permanently after about a month).

I personally have not seen convincing evidence that aspirin would delay a shoulder injury repair. Aspirin has been shown to protect against excessive inflammation and scar formation in tendon repair.
