If there is a consensus, it is Vitamin A is needed by the body. If there is too much of what is good, it will be bad. Vitamin A is no exception.

I personally feel eating liver for retinol, or vitamin A, does wonders that eating the precursor of vit A, beta-carotene (as popularly found in carrots) could not do for me.
For eating beef liver once a week for 5 years, my myopia was gone and my driver's license did not require me to wear glasses anymore.
