RE: do you need to get sterile small intestine first before going on raypeat?
@the-MOUSE depends on what you mean hopping on ray peat. If you mean completely switching over to a gallon of milk and lots of orange juice I wouldn't be surprised if you run into problems. I do better with a mix of starches like potatoes and rice and some fruits than either of them alone, and don't do well with lots of fruit juice either. I also recently found tremendous benefit from aspirin+caffeine effervescent tablets where I've had problems with regular aspirin tablets before. Also do really well with lots of calcium from bone meal as I don't do well with dairy. I think finding what works for you is a trial and error process and can also change over time. If you eat according to a "ray peat paradigm" and are perceptive of your own circumstances I don't see why bacterial overgrowth would be an issue.

RE: Calcium supplement
@voldtzeig Okay! I tried making the calcium carbonate work for a while, even mixing with vinegar, but I unfortunately don't digest it well. But we're all different, hopefully it works for you and yours

RE: Calcium supplement
@voldtzeig I saw a Chris Masterjohn video where he recommended bone meal. I think the potential downsides would be heavy metals and phosphate content. I decided to incorporate it myself, hopefully not to my detriment. I digest it really well and it mixes with most foods without much of a taste or change in mouth feel.

RE: What Skincare do y'all use?
I use as little as possible. I don't wash my face, only redistribute the oils on my face (think I saw @Amazoniac bring it up on the RPF). When I shower I put some salt in a bottle to wash my hair. Regular soap under armpits and genitals. If my face is dry out the shower I use a very small amount of coconut oil. A few drops of bottled lemon or lime juice under armpits as deodorant.

RE: Bioenergetic Films
@Ivy Haven't watched it, but just from the synopsis it sounds like it conforms to my thesis. "An uncompromising, visionary architect struggles to maintain his integrity and individualism despite personal, professional and economic pressures to conform to popular standards." The character doesn't need to be of moral upstanding but the struggle needs to be towards something good, true or beautiful. So maybe moral value is too limited, but it cant anyway just be the pursuit of money, power, status or whatever, even if that's a part of the storyline. Maybe I shouldn't comment on it since I haven't seen it but oh well

RE: Bioenergetic Films
@Ivy I think one important aspect is that it portrays something of moral value. It might be sad/gloomy/horrific, but if the struggle is towards something of greater moral value, it can still be a "uplifting" movie, even if it ends in catastrophe. The opposite is also true, a movie can be superficially "dopaminergic" or whatever but pushing moral degeneracy.
Most recent thing I watched was the first season of The Terror which was pretty good. Kind of slow in the beginning but good character development. Started watching season 2 (stand-alone) but was very disappointed.

RE: Just bought 1kg eggshell powder. How do I use it?
I never digested eggshells well, I think it was partly because I couldn't ground them up fine enough. But also because it's calcium as carbonate that requires stomach acid you might want to take it with food or even react it before hand with vinegar, that way creating calcium acetate.

RE: How to lower Adrenaline
Agree with what's already mentioned about salt. Having a teaspoon of salt in some water, making sure it's properly dissolved, has been the most potent thing for immediate results for me.
