@Big_El Very interesting. He said he doesn’t eat any starch to avoid the insulin spikes.
I understand incorporating fiber and sugar, but keeping starch in the diet with fatty liver is new — could it be that the insulin spike liberating fatty acids from the liver is a way to lower its fattiness?

@Fructose one of his symptoms is dizziness after lifting weights — despite drinking a Red Bull before and eating enough etc. So insulin resistance might be implicated, or possibly low blood volume.

The idea that enamel is lost forever might just be an industry supported myth to sell more daily prevention products
I’m not sure if reversal of total loss of enamel has been studied bc it’s very rare/unlikely. How would that even happen unless it was physically scraped off in addition to being chemically eroded over a long time?
If localized tooth sensitivity is the only issue then there’s plenty of people who’ve reversed it.

Search liothyronine + one of the following countries: Mexico, Turkey, India, Thailand, etc. they all have their own versions easily available for order.

Reversing Non-Alcoholic Peaty Liver Disease
I have a lad in my DMs describing a set of symptoms that he can’t seem to shake no matter what.
Long story short, the only thing that I can guess is that his liver is fatty from all the sugar he’s been memed into consuming. He’ll take a liver enzyme test, but given that it’s positive, what is the treatment plan here?
Will you have to trade a ‘pro-metabolic diet’ to unburden the liver? Cut sugar and fat probably. Anything that spikes insulin. Lots of low impact exercise. Glycine? Milk Thistle?
Any Peaty silver bullets?

@honeysugar Long before Peating became mainstream, bodybuilders have been using T3 to cut in preparation for shows.
It’s the straight up gold standard for rapid weight loss.
Also, obv cutting calories in whatever way. I know Peatgroids claim you should eat like 75% carbs during a cut but I don’t think anyone has ever hit single digit BF using that diet.
IMO it should be mostly lean protein while minimizing carbs. If you have a healthy metabolism you shouldn’t need so much sugar to keep your energy up anyway, just enough via sources that don’t spike insulin like OJ. Aromatase inhibitors and uncouplers too. Lots of coffee. Take it black with coconut oil, which is enough to prevent a cortisol spike.

Dedicated category for diet/recipes/meal preps ideas/inspo?
As the title says. It would be easier to cover broader topics on a dedicated board.
For eg. We can have threads about specific subjects like fiber, balancing simple vs complex carbs, balancing aminos, etc. etc.
I know there are other websites and insta pages specifically for Peaty recipes and ideas, but this could be a good place to generate source material in one, contained, indexed place. As things stand I can barely find my own recipes and ideas on me own timeline so I’d rather post stuff here.

@henkboogaart014 Quite the opposite. Proteins in milk (lactoferrin in particular) inhibit the formation of biofilm, and have many other functions in preventing bacterial overgrowth.
This article makes a good case for drinking milk as a tool for dental hygiene.
But if bacteria is a problem the bandaid solution would be to raise oral pH to neutralize the lactic acid byproduct of bacterial anaerobic respiration. That + fluoride is basically what mainstream mouthwash achieves anyway.
