@brenn Yes, but increasing your grip strength doesn't increase your lifespan.

RE: Peaty jobs
@brenn My friend, the only "Peaty" job is a job you love.

RE: Easiest things to do as new peater
My friend, it's simple:
Make sure you're eating enough calories throughout the day.
Have a big breakfast.
Add a glass of milk and 2-3 pieces of fruit on top of your regular meals.
Avoid seed oils. These are simple things you can start doing today.
Good luck.

RE: Gym datamining thread
Friends, I've been lifting for 10 years, roughly speaking.
Began with 5x5 starting strength, moved to ICF, then Madcows, and eventually finishing my 4/3/2 with Greyskulls.
I spent a good chunk of my time in between doing meme workouts.
Nowadays, I don't care much about lifting and only go in x2 a week. That's enough for everyone once you've built your foundation.
Good luck.

RE: Optimal gooning regimen
@Sugar Dear Sugar, I'm simply not perpetually aroused. My releases are powerful enough to sustain my body and spirit. Estrogen shifts you over to a state of mild excitation; not good!

RE: Voluntary ANS activation
@rosenstein then yes, you can indeed activate the autonomic nervous system, but I don't see how it's related to the Law of Attraction.
In fact, the Law of Attraction is a misnomer taken from the theosophical book, The Kybalion, that syncretically combinee Daoist and Hermetic cosmology.
If you want an alternative, read the work of Osman-Spare, as well as Peter Carroll; the use of sigils to invert the direction of cause and effect in the dimension of the conscious-unconscious is a well-known magical technique, and for most people, it can be successful enough to prove the famous adage, "as above so below"
Good luck and be careful what you wish for.

RE: Why do you believe in God?
My friend, there's really no intellectual argument that would prove the existence of God, since by definition God surpasses reason. Instead, we can only find crumbs of evidence scattered within and with-out us.
I, for one, seek to destroy my faith, by the doings of hammer or fire, and from that destruction raise an unshakable knowing that permeates my perception, reality, and being for it is only the mystical experience that can reveal the mystery, or the direct connection with spirit that can instill in me the divine spark, not some theological argument that relies on internally consistent models and concepts.

@rosenstein My Jewish friend, what do you mean by ANS?
Autonomic nervous system?

RE: Optimal gooning regimen
My friend, ask yourself or rather, feel yourself, whether you're mastutbating because of a) mental tension b) fear c) boredom d) genuine desire to connect.
In my estimation, if you're young and virile, having sex 1-2 times a week is enough. Too little? Too much? Try going a week without instagram, twitter, media, movies, TV shows. See how your sexual appetite adapts. Maybe you need more, maybe you need less. Be natural.

RE: Getting rid of gyno
@skylark Both studies report just reduction, and one study in pubescent boys, which is an entirely different predicament. I'm aware of these solutions but presence of gynecomastia beyond 2-3 years, well after puberty, means fibrotic tissue, hence why I'm saying removal.
Talk to doctors, patients, and people who've had gynecomastia for years. Look into the literature. It's NOT an easy solution and complete reduction is unheard of BECAUSE the tissue has become metabolically inert, for the most part.
More plates more dates talks extensively about it and his conclusions are similar to mine.
Good luck.

RE: Girthy paenis. How to?
@TopicalsOnBalls My friend, while I can't vouch for their effectiveness, there are many methods that promise 1-2 inches of permanent growth. From jelqing to bathmate. There are many communities you could reach out to.
But as far as I understand, it's a serious time commitment.
Having said that, the average penis is 14cm (most likely even smaller) so you shouldn't feel bad about having a little front tail.

RE: Open discussion on walking
Walking is very good. It helps your insides mobilize better than most exercises.

RE: Getting rid of gyno
@skylark You're writing "not true at all" yet there's absolutely no evidence of substantial tissue removal, in the literature or anecdotally. Tissue catabolism doesn't mean removal in the context of fat and muscle, but shrinkage. Likewise, removing gyno without surgery is as probable as removing your nipples by rubbing creams on them.

RE: Dialectical and Historical Materalism - J. Stalin (1938)
Marx's discovered dialectical materialism, which is slightly different from materialism though that's not important right now.
It's an inverted Hegelian dialectic that applied German idealism to matter, assuming that, contrary to the Aristotelian or Platonic ideal of matter, to generate new forms of matter you'd need a violent reaction between two (or more) forces.
When applied to society, Marx observed that all revolutions involved two dominant social classes. In the case of the French revolution, it was the capitalists rebelling against the aristocrats. In this context, the former were "Marxist" because they understood the dialectical problem the current status quo imposed on them.
One of the issues with Marx is that after the 20th century, he was never considered a philosopher. Every critique or praise is in the context of an applied version of his philosophy in society. I personally disagree with this application since I'm in favor of the Hegelian dialectic but it'd be naive of me to deny Marx's philosophical vigor.

RE: Getting rid of gyno
@eatfan Unfortunately, there's no solution that involves topical application of creams that will result in tissue reduction. The keyword is tissue, since tissue, once formed, cannot be reduced through hormones anymore.
Surgery is painless and recovery is less than two days. If it bothers you so much.

RE: Dry mouth and bad breath
TopicalsOnBalls, it seems to me that you'll benefit from keeping your mouth closed, when exercising and sleeping. A major cause of cavities and a dry mouth is mouth breathing reflexively.
Don't forget to pay a visit to your dentist as well. A bad tooth can harbor abscesses filled with bacteria that feed off of your diet, regardless of how good it is.

RE: If cortisol and estrogen is the devil
Mr OrpingtonClose, blocking cortisol and estrogen will end your life in a few days. We need the proper release and cycling of these hormones. Instead of thinking elimination, think regulation.

RE: Can we get a Bitter Hatred category?
My dear friend PartyEveryday88, you conflate emotional release, letting the stuck energy move through the body, with these unproductive negative emotions. It's certainly helpful become aware of what's happening inside but to become prey of your unchecked psychological reflexes doesn't end well. It's indeed true that feeling anger and hatred is the only time most people experience the liberating nature of purging blockages and sublimating emotions to something productive, e.g., taking action, but you can do the same thing with increasing your agency.
Instead of self-hate, consider setting boundaries and becoming assertive. Instead of bitterness, take actions against injustices.
