I think an reaction system on the forum would be beneficial in many ways, maybe that's just me but sometimes it's too taxing to write a full blown reply to a short but helpful comment that provided interesting information or the ultimate solution to the problem of the discussion.

RE: Losing weight as fast as possible
@notmcas i used to have the same problem and i lost weight quickly by fasting and strict calorie restriction not realizing that i was hypothyroid and had mild insulin resistance, i lost mostly muscle and created a lot of hormonal imbalances, do not recommend.

What happened to bioenergetic.live?
There was a radio channel on the internet that played interviews with Dr. Peat, for some reason it has been down for a a few months now. What happened?

Nervousness after nicotine/caffeine
I'm having a lot of unexplained nervousness, stress and fast heart rate after taking nicotine and drinking coffee. What could be the reason to that? Should I ramp up my calcium intake to combat this? L-theanine? I think it may be a hypothyroidism symptom.

@yerrag it's such a shame, i think you can find a lot of your collection at zlib org.

RE: The relation between vitamin B6 and the unsaturated fatty acid factor
@Nikolai Another problem of this study is that they fed the rats halibut fish oil.
The rats could also get deficient in biotin.
This study was done poorly, it does not confirm any side of the argument.

RE: The relation between vitamin B6 and the unsaturated fatty acid factor
@Nikolai I think you are just putting words in his mouth. He said that polyunsaturated fatty acids are not essential at all.
He also said that restoring the metabolic function uses up more nutrients (hence why he argued that it was a B6 problem). My hypothesis is that bringing the metabolic rate up, the rats got deficient in some other vitamin/mineral like zinc, and they didn't test that.

The relation between vitamin B6 and the unsaturated fatty acid factor
Peat said that the Burrs study (where they gave rats a PUFA-free diet) were actually a Vitamin B6 deficiency. The whole thing can be found here: https://youtu.be/Oc1ijSN220k?si=Evj_3i_T-fwjeRgi.
They conducted an experiment in 1938 giving the rats moderate-high doses of B6 on that diet: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0021925818740386?ref=pdf_download&fr=RR-2&rr=8749d4922a114534. And it failed miserably, only giving the rats PUFA was the cure.
Does that suggest there is a minimum of PUFA for the organism to function? I can't seem to find any answers. Was Peat wrong about avoiding them completely?

RE: Hypertrophic acne scars
@CO3 yeah, the hormonal profile really messes up the scar formation. I got these scars when i was literally PUFAnated and estrogenated eating junk food and not moving at all during quarantine. I gave myself insulin resistance and hypothyroidism at that time and a couple other issues. I'm working on fixing them, thanks for the suggestions. Progest is definetely on my shopping list for my high e2.

Hypertrophic acne scars
I have some noticeable raised scars (not keloid, but hypertrophic) on my chest since i've had a big problem with acne during my puberty. My dermatologist prescribed me various ointments and gels that did help but they are still there and are bothering me.
Would there be a peaty way to treat them? My dermo said that no surgical intervention should be done as I'm prone to these kind of scarring. I'm looking into laser therapy or steroid injections.
Also, is there a way to reduce the red-pinkish coloring on them?

Idealabs stack to reverse insulin resistance?
What would be the best stack to assist in reversing my mild insulin insensitivity? A lot of my family members had diabetes. I think I inherited it from my grandfather. I've heard that Pyrucet is great.

Aromatase inhibitors after gyno surgery
I'm an 18 year old male with gynecomastia. I've had it since the beginning of high school. I'm currently opting for surgery since the mass has already hardened and it's too late for raloxifene or other SERMs.
Should i take a very small dose of an aromatase inhibitor every other day to keep the gyno from reoccuring after surgery? What happens if I stop cold turkey?

RE: Why do I feel so lethargic with psilocybin mushrooms?
@Appa after a meal, i tried them both with and without aspirin, i would describe my gut health as mediocre, i have crohns disease.

Why do I feel so lethargic with psilocybin mushrooms?
It is my second attempt with magic mushrooms. This time i tried microdosing at 0.2g and I just feel nauseous and tired, my facial muscles feel very weird and I already regret taking them. I feel exactly how i felt at 2 grams without the visual effects.
Is that happening because I'm hypothyroid? Or it's just my body not tolerating them and treating them like toxins?

Questions regarding insulin resistance, thyroid medication and gynecomastia
I am a 18 year old male and I have pubertal gynecomastia. I also have problems with insulin (elevated HOMA IR index) probably because of eating a bad diet during my development. I do have a lot of fat storage despite the fact that i'm rather slim. I'm also hypothyroid since my TSH is 3 but my estrogen, testosterone, prolactin and cortisol are in the normal range according to mainstream medical advice (maybe not ideal by bioenergetic standards but i doubt that they are the causes), so my question is: Could the formation of the breast tissue be driven by hypothyroidism and bad insulin sensitivity? This an endocrinologist point of view and I would like to verify that. Can the gyno be reversed ny solving these issues?
I'm looking for peaty supplements and medications that target insulin sensitivity (apart from aspirin, of course), I've been prescribed metformin by an endocrinologist who looked at my blood work and I would reconsider taking a better alternative.
I have also heard accounts of people taking T4 or T3 reporting that their gynecomastia got worse. What is the mechanism behind this phenomenon and should i be afraid of this if I start supplementing with cynomel or cynoplus?
