RE: New "Mission" of RPF
garrettsmithforum.com is live. Sadly I am too poor to actually host a forum so it's just a silly landing page that links here. Enjoy. Also if anyone has any funny additions for me to put on there I'm open to suggestions.

RE: New "Mission" of RPF
I think I’m gonna make “Garrettsmithforum.com” and talk about the benefits of vitamin A

@Gaston said in Banned from RP forum : Can you do better than this.:
@ilovethesea I'm not banned yet, but I also only had a few hundred posts over the span of nearly a decade. A significant number of my posts were sarcastic comments aimed at Charlie, but he still never banned me, perhaps because he's too dumb to grasp irony. I'm tempted to start commenting "Low "Vitamin A" fixes this" on threads where it has no possible relevance, like on Ukraine threads and whatnot. But I also don't want to get banned because there are a handful of threads that I still may want to comment on in the future, assuming that every user who isn't a moron doesn't leave the site over the next year or so.
Please do this lol

Pharmacological ACTH/CRH inhibitor that doesn’t prevent me from doing acid
Currently taking Mirtazapine to help with seemingly unstoppable ACTH/cushing’s symptoms, likely as a result of either past SSRI (ab)use or ashwaganda (🤮) use pre-peating.
I also just like the calming/stress-resistance effect it gives me. Feels like my fight or flight response takes a lot more to activate than it used to and it helps me to run on thyroid and not be adrenal-dominant.
However, I do really enjoy taking acid on occasion and not only does Mirtazapine acutely block psychedelic trips (5ht2a, 2b, 2c antagonist) it also has a disgustingly long half life and withdrawal symptoms which makes weaning off/on for acid trips too annoying.
It may also elevate TNF-alpha which makes me want to get off it as well but if we’re being honest here the main issue is I really just want to take acid.
I have seen acetazolamide mentioned on RPF as something that lowers ACTH, and I know it isn’t a serotonin antagonist. Would this be sufficient? Cyproheptadine kind of works but I can’t stand the anticholinergic effects for more than a day in a row.
Any other serotonin 5ht2c antagonist that’s known to lower ACTH and doesn’t have a disgustingly long half life would also be acceptable. Any suggestions whatsoever appreciated.

RE: Topical cannabis restores hair
@Ecstatic_Hamster cannabis is most helpful for lymphatic and immune cancers because it causes those systems to atrophy. It is not known to be helpful for all or most types of cancer beyond potentially as a palliative for chemo symptoms.
Quite literally google “THC thymus atrophy” and there are multiple studies that confirm this effect in vivo.

RE: Topical cannabis restores hair
I forgot to add, THC is immune suppressive and potentially causes atrophy of immune organs like thymus, lymph nodes. I am of the opinion that hair loss is an immune balance issue, so this would support that angle.

RE: Topical cannabis restores hair
This is not that surprising. I thought it was pretty well known that THC / cannabinoids are antiandrogenic. Specifically interfering with DHT if I recall the “official” mainstream interpretation.
I recall some on RPF speculating that THC is progestogenic and/or progesterone sparing? I wonder if it is like caffeine in the sense that helpful/harmful rides on caloric intake.
