Raypeatforum.com is down
-
Considering the error says "something on your server is hogging resources" or something to that effect, my bet is the forum suddenly comes back and Charlie has a harrowing tale about a cyber attack when it was actually him screwing something up or doing his usual maintenance.

Oh no. The cybers attak. Again.
-
@NotShanalotte - I am also expecting him to reuse his cyber attack excuse.
In trying to connect the dots, I am thinking that this downtime is related to the recent sudden reversal of the usefulness of niacin by the forum's guiding star. The site will be down until Charlie and his team think the turmoil has ended.
Charlie, 'May you continue to live in interesting times'.

I haven’t been on there in a week or three
So niacin is bad now
Meaning niacinimide right?My question is:
Who is left on the forum that would refute anything?
Were folks revolting about this?
And not about….well….everything else?Thx D

I can't live without it. (Mainly the old information that is there, the new information has already lost direction)
I am now collecting every possible Ray Peat information from the web and keeping a backup on my computer in case it is external factors. For some reason they also removed the entire backup of the forum from the Internet Archive. It is stressful.
I even started transcribing all his interviews from YouTube and everywhere.
-
@Peatful - I do not know what was going on. I have stopped reading new posts on the site for quite some time. Recently, I have stopped receiving email listing the new posts from the site.
With regard to niacin, read the thread Niacin now toxic according to GG
-
@ThinPicking lol, exactly if I'm right he'll have to escalate to something equally ridiculous. Heck, it's better reading than plagiarizing someone else's ramblings. During his last outburst he just copied what Andrew Torba (another "suddenly right-wing christian") said. So Charlie using a movie script isn't far off lmao
@DavidPS Yeah and since it's GG and not Garret saying that about niacin that probably adds to Charlie's rage, so I think you're on to something there.

Damn what tf is going on there?? Just thank goodness for this forum and archived ray peat forum https://peatarchive.com/
-
I noticed over the past week the site was getting slow. Loading pages was taking awhile.
-
Maybe Charlie sees the writing on the wall and has just given up. The forum was only getting about 10 posts per day the past few weeks. It's dying/dead. He killed it.
-
@Gaston Yep, he killed it. Personally I don't believe any of the conspiracy theories that were proposed here, I think the whole debacle was just Charlies retardation/going insane.
-
The database is going through a solar flare-related detox event but will return in a more glorious form.

Hopefully he makes it through ok.
You're probably right and I hope the same. Life Giving Store is also offline.
The business has a phone number if a bored American wants to make a product inquiry.
-
@sharko maybe you can share this on a sharing platform of some kind?

Deep breath, you just need to calm down. All of this has already been done.
By all means though. Do it again. Why not. The more redundancy the better.
-
@sharko I understand you. It is a very rich forum, full of very interesting information. But, don't worry about it above all if you have a back up and don't forget all the knowledge you have accumulated will never be lost even if internet is down.

Now it's back with this message.
"A storm took out the server in our data center. We are in the process of moving to a new server. Thank you so much for your patience."
Consistent with the solar detox theory from @revenant. Ahem.

@Lovesickhs18 More than a decade. And this is what happens with unchecked power.
If the forum comes back online, just save as much as you can to hard drive and then upload to other places.
