New IdeaLabs Product – 3α-Dihydroprogesterone (3α-DHP)
-
@mexican_coke_fan the information is contradictory
-
@bio3nergetic might shock you to find this out but Ray took testosterone at the end of his life. He didn't necessarily warn against but rather cautioned people taking downstream hormones.
-
@risingfire No, not a shock. I was aware of the testosterone, but with his use at around a few mg max, with his fairly solid understanding that with something like testosterone, at a low dose, it was not only basically safe but also helpful, he never truly equated the downstream metabolite types to it. For the downstream metabolites, he clearly stated he thought they were unpredictable and not safe to take.
-
@bio3nergetic not sure where you're getting your information but testosterone is a downstream hormone
-
@risingfire There are far more downstream metabolite types from more primary downstream hormones than testosterone. That is what Ray meant, and that's what I am referring to.
-
@bio3nergetic you should have just said metabolites. I think Ray would have experimented with DHT at some point had he still been alive
-
did anybody had good results with this
I personally did not feel anything locally and orally -
Only tried it once.
It feels pretty strongly anti-cortisol.
Also the next day my libido was a little higher and my muscles looked pretty full.Thats all , I'm trying Melanon and lanosterol now so might be some time until I get back to 3aDHP.
-
@risingfire ,
Did he really take testosterone ?Ray, "I told her about progesterone's general protective effects, its antagonism to testosterone, and its prevention of atrophy in various tissues. She decided to ask her doctor to try progesterone for her husband. Later, I learned that her husband had gone into a very rapid decline immediately after the injection, and died within a week; the physician had given him testosterone, since, he said, "testosterone and progesterone are both male hormones." Besides making me more aware of the problems patients have in communicating with physicians, this tended to reinforce my feeling that a hormone imbalance is involved in ALS. Although I haven't written much about testosterone's toxicity, Marian Diamond's work showed that prenatal testosterone is similar to prenatal estrogen, in causing decreased thickness of the cortex of the brain; both of those hormones oppose progesterone's brain-protecting and brain-promoting actions."
-
@Goodman you need to look into the context. Too much testosterone can convert into estrogen. Plus there's a difference between prenatal vs a grown man in his 80's taking 1mg a day.
-
@Mauritio what cancer studies??
-
@James the ones on 5aDHP and its effect on cancer.

@haidut said in New IdeaLabs Product – 3α-Dihydroprogesterone (3α-DHP):
0.01-1.0 microgram
@haidut correct me if I'm inaccurate, please.
1 drop of this product for R&D is about double the dose used in the quoted studies above for HED. (I used Copilot to convert the dosage).
On the older AlloP and 5α-DHP pages, the common max R&D dose was 10 drops.
If anyone is interested, I like the following stack for busy days. Helped me a lot mitigating the stress when interfacing with a panel of directors and VPs.
Morning/Evening Dose:
1 drop lisuride - topical
1 drop cypro - oral
2 drops androsterone - topical
2 drops 3α-DHP - oral -
@cdwg what effects do u get from 3aDHP alone?
-
@Mr-X Not sure. I have not taken it by itself. I take the stack I posted morning and evening.
Positives I’ve Noticed:
- More calm
- Feel less intimidated/scared by higher ranks in my work place
- less social anxiety. Used to freeze during presentations and driving meetings.
- no adrenaline rush (interesting feeling when I went on a rollercoaster. It was like experiencing the ride with clear vision. No fear.)
- feel more drive to perform well in my workplace
Negatives
- Occasional dry eyes.
- Occasional catching myself acting confident in a rude manner, but no anger. Not afraid to speak my mind or filter my thoughts before speaking.
- when the stack starts wearing off, i feel like the stress response flicks on and off rapidly during a stressful event. For example, when I was riding my motorcycle I got stressed when I was trying to come off the line. While I was peeling away the feeling of stress would turn on and off repeatedly until I felt safe on my way. Weird feeling.
Neutral effects
- I feel full all the time even with little food
- weight gain but it doesn’t feel like fat. Clothes fit the same. Hoping the drop in cortisol and serotonin is allowing some muscle to grow back.
