@the_black_jew which camp are you in? Strong fire doesn't mean good IQ either.

Can we feed the fire by sources other than food?

I get you. Nice writing. I think though that there are still sickly people, who lack good metabolism, who puzzle me by their zest for life.

Makes me wonder what else feeds the fire other than metabolism.

Conversely, there are optimally efficient people who, while healthy, lack the fire within. Seems to lack another source of fire. No passion at all. Just indifferent. But I guess there is a lot of subjectivity here, as the fire in that person could simply be directed at another realm.

It's definitely not a british comedy.

@yerrag Men of high spirit with grand designs for their life and seek to impose their will the world. High metabolism is a prerequisite but something currently unquantifiable like soul or aether seems to be of equal importance.

@onliest said in All men have a fire that burns inside of them:

                      something currently unquantifiable

I doubt that part. A broad endocrine panel including some adrenal markers, relative to the self description or observation of the subject is probably telling. But the kind of person Yerrag describes would be unlikely to present for that kind of test unless a wheel fell off.

@ThinPicking what sort of markers are you thinking of?
