Lack of brain glucose in high stress moments

Whenever I enter a high stress moment, I feel like my vision blurs, I become light-headed, and I'm unable to make the right decisions until the stress subsides. How can I improve brain function even when under intense stress (without reducing adrenaline/cortisol to a level where I become numb)?

Hi,
2 steps:
urgent step; bring 2.5 bisglycinate Magnésium (powder). After a crisis. 2 or 3 times a day.
I 'd add one gel. L-theanine +/ 200 mg. 2x/d.
And one technique as deep breath (sophrology) or EFT.At a longer period:
Need to educate the brain with MCT (1 tsp coconut oil 2x/d at first, then 3x/d.
=>lipolysis is required (to burn fat).How was your last lab test for Hb1Ac (glycated hemoglobin)?
Mind the breakfast (insulin spike). No cereal like Kellogg or white bread.
No yaourt after a meal when dealing with insulin spike. -
@LucH Hey good stuff, But I don’t quite understand how the first part will improve my decision-making under pressure (other than the L-theanine,mct part, of course)
As for the glycated hemoglobin part, I sadly can't tell, since I’m currently not in a position to pay for a blood test and my family doctor is extremely resistant in that regard.
And regarding the third part, would you say my symptom is related to an insulin problem? (I did have issues with insulin in the past)

If your are under pressure, you secrete adrenalin and cortisol afterwards.

So, a combi from bisglycinate Mg is optimal.You symptoms are concordant:
A stress reaction stops glycolysis (burning of glucose) and induces lipolysis (fat burning).
As you're light-headed + stress, I deduce your brain lacks glucose.
Moreover you seem to lack the ability to send an alternate fuel (MCT or coco fat) to the brain.
What about your BMI?
I need age, weight and height to determine it. Must be between 19 - 25. -

Mind the way you're trying to loose weight. The most difficult is not to recuperate what you could loose. If you lack what is required for basic organs, the brain is going to slow down the metabolism (...).
What you could do:- fast diet (if your glycemia is OK): 5.2
=> 2 days (not consecutive) where you moderate the food: 2 meals of +/ 300 Kcal each.
with 1) an apple, 2 eggs, a tsp collagen (facultative) and a bowl of green soup (e.g. leek) if still hungry.
Later 2) 125-150 g white fish (5 oz.) + a salad with a tomato (or half an apple) (corn salad or lettuce e.g.) with 1 tbsp lemon juice.
Drink150 ml water every two hours.
Note: If you can't remain 3 hours without eating sugar, you've got a problem with the microbiota or with the glycemia. You're lightly overburdened (fat), so the glucose has difficulty to reach the muscle, what makes you feel hungry faster.
I repeat: Don't try to loose fat at any other consideration. It's going to match +/ well at the first time, but your brain is going to record it for the following tries / fasts. It will be then more and more difficult to obtain the same result. But at the expense of taking weight on an easiest / faster way.
I know very well you have to do your own experience but don't tell you've not been "warned" afterwards.
I repeat: the breakfast is the most important meal of the day because is going to impact insulin secretion for the whole day.
NB: Get informed on how to manage with glycemia.

I won't dink a lot of orange juice at breakfast. No more than 100 ml (3.5 oz). Prefer an orange fruit (with fiber). To follow RP, you have to burn fuel very well. It's not your case. So you have to adapt.
How are your bowel movement and your digestion?

@LucH I've been noticing that my bowel movements are regular, and overall, I feel like my digestion is working optimally. That said, Im wondering why is it generally advised to avoid sugary foods for breakfast? What’s the reasoning behind that?

Not avoiding sugar when coming with fiber. Need to be informed on insuline spike.
