Very bad circulation

Your low temperature is enough to tell that your metabolism is low and that you are hypothyroid. But calling you hypothyroid is not the most helpful as it gives the idea that it is only your thyroid condition that is sub-optimal, and this condition, while applicable, gives the impression in many that taking thyroid supplementation would be the magic bullet to cure you of your condition. Too many thyroid supplementers are guilty of using the pharma medical model of taking pharma drugs regularly to alleviate the expression of a symptom, to simply stop any more attempt to permanently rid one of a pathology by identifying the root cause/s with the follow-up intention of eliminating the root cause.
Unfortunately, the medical system and it's doctors are woefully inadequately trained and equipped to to any semblance of root cause analysis, and this are unable to help you solve your impaired metabolism, which really is at the heart of your condition.
If the world were not dominated by a system where doctors serve as errand boys and drug distribution networks for the pharma cartel, and have the freedom to troubleshoot your body like mechanics would fix your car, with payment only necessary upon a repair fully done, you would find yourself being helped and not being told of the oft-repeated and used narrative that "our researchers have found no cure with all their research and that the only answer is to rely on expensive intervention with drugs and surgery and with implants if not transplants and toxic substances." It goes without saying that this level of intervention is very costly and this model of keeping people alive as zombies takes a lot out of our lives and leaves at best those remaining behind destitute to continue carrying the burden of the ones that have passed away.
Yet it is not impossible to learn of bioenergetics principles based on Ray Peat's research that would restore back to the body it's metabolic vigor without so much as costing us to lose out material possessions.
The problem is that there is no medical discipline srevolving around Peat research that has been formalized to compete against the AMA and it's sanctification by arbitrary nature as defined by the corrupt practices of the Nobel committees that honor snake oil and frauds as science and worthy of recognition while true discoveries are left unrecognized and unusable in contributing to a continuing and snowballing rate of advancement in medicine and health.
Not that there is no one to help you, but those that can help you exist as pockets and islands of isolation, and what effective solutions they offer are walled off in obscurity where only family members and self benefit from applying goods principles off Ray Peat's research. The rule of law favors bad juju, and good medicine is always persecuted by the the wrath of the law. In pursuit of the so-called aim of protecting the public.
But all the writings of Ray Peat of free. In it are kernel of truth that one can use, even at its very basic ideas it isn't hard to implement in one's own practices, lifestyle, and habits
Just know how to use the power of computers and search, and search thru his works, and distill it. If you are not so confounded and confused by competing arguments from the mainstream purveyors of science, and have a simpleton-like belief in Peat, and give him a chance, or the benefit of the doubt, you will be able to see your metabolic health improve. His ideas are foundational though they are hardly unique, and are mostly already in the public domain. Mostly they are based on earnest research. And truth always will hold water and substance, and healing powers. Some have been discarded for modern ideas where novelty carries a preium to produce profit for the modern snake oil salesmen, as they slither their way to rob both private and public health finances and community chests.
I can rattle off many Peat ideas I have adopted only to realize later how much my health has improved. It does not take a genius. It takes in reading him to recognize him as credible and to see how connected and coherent his ideas are after reading through enough of his articles to see how connected they are. And to see the body as a unity where internal systems synergistically operates in a virtuous fashion in a seemingly perpetual showering of vigor and robustness towards creating more structure, where intelligence and wisdom feeds off and enriches the mind and spirit.
If you want to improve, start reading so you can get
good ideas straight from Peat. Don't get carried away by too much dependence on drugs as well as supplements. Concentrate on getting nourishment from the clean upstream water source, and less on the polluted downstream. -
@RandomUser I dont count calories whatsoever. I think I eat more than I used to. I always eat something sweet in the morning. Usually Wheat chocolate porridge with milk, lots of sugar and coconut oil. I know, starch isn’t very popular here but I tolerate wheat very well. I used to eat a lot of potatoes but I notice I don’t feel super well if I eat a lot.
For luch there is often something with potatoes, I don’t eat them too much, drown them in salt and eat it with young white cheese which I eat with almost every non-sweet meal I have. For luch there is also usually also some fiber since my dad loves vegetables and he cooks, I am not a fan tho. And some meat, usually chicken, rarely wild caught trout. My dad is a fisherman so.
In between i usually have two cups of coffee from my moka pot, rest of a regular cup is filled with milk, brown sugar and a spoonful of coconut oil.
I often have an apple, peeled or some fruit juice. Often a boiled egg or two and some sweet snack, it’s usually plain chocolate, which I love.
I very rarely eat out or buy store bought snacks, except chocolate. But that’s about it

@yerrag I suspected I had hypothyroidism, thank you for this reply and all the advice. Everything you said about medical industry is true, shame especially since I will one day join it. It’s maybe naive of me to think I can change it but a man can dream

I don’t know what to do about my circulation. I eat lots of sugar, lots of salt, copious amounts. And as I lowered my liquid intake and upped salt i think it only made it worse.
Hi,
With the kind of food you eat you're terribly deficient in potassium, vitamin K1 & K2 and vit E 100 mcg (at least 2 toco). Required for optimal vessel membranes.
=> I'd take 1.2 g potassium bicarbonate powder with 40-50 ml fruit juice. No more, once a day, at midday with a meal. => 60 HCO3 and 40% K+.
In cure. Do not overrule; otherwise you'll change the balance between TH1 >< TH2 (mTOR pathway).
I can give a link to explain how Na+/K+ and Mg/Ca are crucial to optimize metabolism (cellular breath). -
@LucH Sure give me the link! I would love to read about it, thank you
-
Have you tried incorporating gelatin into your diet? It can have a vasodilation effect. Also bag-breathing to increase CO2 can do the same
-
citrulline/watermelon would also vasodilate you
-
@Njegos You should construct a rough estimate based on the portions sizes of what you eat every day. I'm willing to bet you're eating under 1,000 calories a day.
-
@Njegos Laudable of you. But first fix yourself so if you still have it in you, to change the world starting with those around you. The world and its inertia is not an easy project but one can still dream.
-
You need to fix your mold issue first and foremost. It will affect your health more than anything.

OK, but first kilgore has made an interesting remark about mold.
As you didn't say anything about dysbiosis and transit, how is your transit (stools, how many times, odor) how do you digest (overgrowth, gaze, flatulence).
Must be taken into account at first side.I come back.
-
You have difficulty concentrating, anxiety, cold extremities, cramps, random transit or insufficiency, etc. Not limiting, but there are at least 2 symptoms characteristic of an endocrine and metabolic disorder.

@RandomUser I doubt It’s less then 1000 since I go through 1L of milk a day, roughly and it is practically impossible for everything else I eat to be less than 600 calories. My portion sizes are big enough i think, I sometimes eat breakfast twice a day
-
@yerrag I don’t think I will change the word, I just hope that my practices and advice I will give my future patients won’t make their condition worse, but actually help them
-
@Kilgore I know, but mold is not an easy fix
-
@LucH @LucH I have a stool every day, and how often? It varies, 1,5-2 times a day, rarely 3 but it happens.
When it comes to oder, I think it’s okay? Never thought much about it.
I’m unsure as to what to say about my digestion, but it might be interesting to mention that I can hear my stomach often, sounds. Even tho Im not hungry, It’s usually I’m done eating -
@Njegos I mean it's still worth going through. It'd take you like 5 minutes to do a serious calculation. A liter of whole milk is still only 600 calories and none of the meals you described sound above 500 calories. You do you man.
-
@Njegos said in Very bad circulation:

Ok, it seems +/ OK. If your stomach makes noise from time to time, it's not a problem, except you have then difficulties to assimilate what you've eaten.
Take it into account and adapt yourself to the situation. Otherwise you'll irritate your linen tissue and won't assimilate all the nutrients.
Need more info to advise what to do if you want to correct the problem. Note when, after which kind of food, how much, how long it lasts, at midday or at the evening. -
May you go a long way in that quest.
