Rosemary (or sage) is not about vasodilation but about powerful anti-inflammatory activity by its diterpene carnosic acid, which is an antagonist to the human VDR and thus innate immunity. It may therefore work topically (to suppress symptoms for temporary healing but not to cure) for psoriasis and the like.

          @CrumblingCookie

It also kills bacteria and fungus and parasites (e.g. demodex mites). The vasodilation was never the main use for me.

And who cares if it's not the most potent vasodilator? It still produces some vasodilation. That's just a plus.

Anti-inflammatory + anti-bacteria/fungus/parasite + vasodilation. No way that's not going to be beneficial to your hair health/growth.

@wester130 Interesting about the strength of the oils, as far as vasodilation goes. I find oregano to be dangerously strong, so that is no surprise it's on the list. I have two versions of oregano oil, full strength and diluted to 25%. I accidentally put the full strength on my skin once, and that was interesting, to say the least. Due to that, I put a white sticker on the cap, with a large red circle, and I added red stripes down the front of the bottle. Same company, same size bottle, with the only distinction being the 25% dilution in small print, until I added these.

@Mossy dont you dilute it yourself?? for example one drop per 50ml liquid?

i don't understand - you used the oil straight?

here is what i am doing now

                centella extract 50ml

                separely mix polysorbate 20 drops
                thyme oil 4 drops
                lemon myrtle 4 drops
                patchouli 4 drops
                rose geranium 4 drops
                cinnamon bark 2 drops

mix this into the centella extract liquid.

mixes perfectly, not oily at all. basically a water solution

so I get the benefit of centella and essential oils

@wester130 I have two versions. One came diluted, at 25%. The other is 100%, not diluted. And, to qualify me even further for a Darwin award, I didn't even mean to grab oregano oil, but a different oil. I put the 100% on my skin. 🔥

@Mossy so the capsules of oregano they sell for candida - are they 100% oil?

As for using the oil topically , in 50ml of aloe juice, I added 4 drops of Polysorbate 20 and thyme oil, which is similarly hot to oregano, and felt a slight burn from it .

this would be about 0.20% strength of the entire bottle.

@wester130 After a quick look, it seems to not be 100% oregano oil in those supplements, but a combination of oils with oregano, like black seed oil, and olive oil.

Hi Guys, ordered caffeine just now and will make conditioner with caffeine/taurine/aspirin/b3. I use essential oil of rosemary daily before bed and microniddling weekly with 1mm deep.

Saw some regrowth, black baby hairs, so it works, but unresolved hypothyroidism and itchiness as a result made me lose them, yep.

planning to dilute them in water higher concentrations and use whenever taking a shower to massage in my head. Any idea what else could be in water base conditioner like this?

wow that is really like a full time job what that author suggests in order to regrow hair. I don't think many people will follow that advice

                              new ideas

floral water // aloe juice// or centella // ginseng water

                              • not herbal tinctures, the water

                              polysorbate 20
choice of about 6 essential oils
mix 20 drops of oil with polysorbate 20

then mix in your carrier liquid

@wester130 this was pretty interesting stuff. I myself have had some good success with fractionated coconut oil on patches of dermatitis and have wondered if maybe this issue involved my scalp in the past, (I’m a classic horseshoe, and started losing my hair at 16, 45 now). I’m aware of the dermatitis/fungus/C8/C10 links.

The only “bummer” about the video is that this guy’s before and afters near the end of the video are kinda difficult to judge. To me, it just doesn’t look like he’s losing his hair at all?
