How long have you been "peating"? Some people need a couple of months of refeeding after being malnourished from other diets. Have you tried Ray's recommendation of sugared salted milk before bed? I usually do 1 tablespoon of sugar and 1/4 tsp salt per 8oz of milk. I think the combination of calcium and sodium should keep oxidative metabolism going throughout the night. I usually take vitamin D with it as well.

RE: Supplements to delay satiety response?
You shouldn't be trying to blunt hunger. According to Broda Barnes, a loss of appetite was the one of the first signs that something has gone wrong for a person. Anything that inhibits those signals to eat are Anti-peat and probably going to wreck metabolism in the long term

RE: Your best country to live in?
@Androsclerozat I think those are the last of our concerns at this point. There are so many more toxic things in our environment that we actually have control over.

RE: Homemade progest-e Vs r real progest-e...
I made some homeade Progest-E with the ePothex powder from Amazon and the Everday Beatuty D-Alpha Tocopheral, and small amount of added coconut oil, all in accordance with Dr. Peats patent. It works great and is cetainly a bit of a different feel from the Kenogen product. So maybe your issue was with the quality of the vit E or progesterone powder, or there was some error in the heating and mixing process. I think the patent calls for specific ratios and that you can only use pure D-Alpha Tocopheral or Mixed tocopherols. SuchLabs has since shut down now and im not sure why but maybe you just got a junk product.

I put all of my Ray Peat related stuff on Obsidian. Good thread.

RE: Wilhelm Reich, Vril, Esoteric Peatlerism
@jens I would love to see those case studies, where can I find more information about the vegetotherapy? I like the idea of breaking the "dams" that impede energy flow, sounds like there is much overlap between TCM, Peat, and Reich.

RE: Ondansetron
@thyroidchor27 Mainly just chilled out similar to cyproheptadine. It makes your gut feel indestructible as well, I would check out haiduts post on it. I think he was taking up to like 16 or 32mg at one point.

@periander345 Not that I can remember but it shouldn't hurt.

RE: Wilhelm Reich, Vril, Esoteric Peatlerism
I've always asked my self why I knew of both Reich and Aajonus long before I had heard of Peat. I have had a physical copy of the orgone accumulator handbook for years now but never ended up finishing it and I had also planned on buying an orgone blanket from his store but never got around to it. Did you know that James Demeo passed away just 7 months before Ray Peat, and they were both from Oregon?

RE: Ondansetron
@periander345 I was prescribed it at 4mg pre-peat. It worked amazing to stop constant diarrhea when I had some kind of intestinal irritation. Peats recommendation though was 1mg or less I believe, haidut also posted a study where in higher doses it could cause heart issues but was reversed with progesterone and pregnenolone.
