@chosroes I have upwards to 2 liters a day but part of that is with salt in drinks (400-800mg), juices, and full-fat dairy. I also salt my food quite a bit. If I over do the salt or feel over-full (gassy) I'll have water or sparkling water, usually half a liter in the evening.

@BioEclectic Indeed, I've been making potato-based soups that slow cook in a Crock Pot all day and haven't any issues.

RE: Kidney general
@Mulloch94 For sure, I wasn't managing at all without taking it every day but I can go about 2 days now so it's progress. I have oysters canned in water or fresh-ish local beef liver when I feel the need for vitamin A aside from fatty dairy.
I miss my Dad. He was the type to do everything his doctor said so unfortunately it was just a matter of time.

When composing, ask yourself questions like "What is your basis for (your or my own) claim(s)? When did you apply Hatchian methods (in the case of this thread)? Which ones? Were you able to keep track of relevant details so others in the future would have clues to go by if direct application didn't work?

Based!
It's probably for the best I'm in the doghouse and she can't see my endorsement.
Thank you, and yeah it's so weird on RPF she was eloquent and made long responses in most cases but now just making conversation is too much effort. We're better off this way.

RE: Histamine and starch
I've noticed similar issues, and I do best with long-cooked potatoes (crock pot ftw) and red potatoes seem to digest best. I've switched back to Russets lately because the red and gold potatoes right now kinda suck, so maybe a different kind of potato would be a solution.
Antibiotic reaction is probably the bacteria dying and spilling their guts which is both irritating and toxic. Could be an actual allergy too or even part of their mechanism of action. I'm allergic to one of them and avoid all of them as a result.

RE: ENDOMETRIOSIS
I had a work friend several years ago who had endometriosis so bad the doctor said she'd never give birth. She left for a different job but surprised me at work later on that she had conceived! She was using 100mg Prometrium, which is sort of amazing because it has tons of junk like peanut oil and titanium oxide but the progesterone itself was still that powerful. She implied she used it vaginally but I was caught off guard about the whole thing and didn't ask for certain.

RE: Kidney general
@Mulloch94 Anecdotally, when my dad was dying in the hospital they didn't do much to get him his TRT restarted and were shocked Pikachu face when he went from damaged kidneys to nearly failure. In my limited personal experience, androsterone and progesterone both helped pain though I've since moved to 20,000 IU vitamin D a day which includes non-kidney improvements such as T3 response as well.
@HyperTorless I've also seen improvements with getting enough calories and fluids so I second your point.

RE: Figuring out digestive issues
What helped me most was keeping stress low for appetite, and the the circus of electrolytes and water. Getting plenty of fluids can be difficult but water especially will dissolve gases in the gut and bring relief. IME the gas mimics the same effect as a water-logged intestine by preventing proper intestinal movement, and this dissolution-need diverts water from softening stool, hence the alternating between dry stool and diarrhea.

RE: BIOHACKING by Nathan Hatch, "F*** Portion Control"
@S-Holmes
Describing your passive-aggressive, ragequitting attitude while criticizing Hatch are not personal attacks. You obviously chose not to read my post, attacked me anyways, and like the pigeon and chessboard, declared yourself the winner. You are causing the drama by going into histrionics every time the topic doesn't go how you want, including ragequitting. Then you answered Mulloch with the info I, and I assume others, wanted anyway. So yeah, I've read your posts on RPF and I know you can write well and be descriptive but you decided to be an absolute donkey to me and, previously, anyone else who criticizes Hatch. So I can't see how describing your actions as ass kissing is a personal attack, you don't react like this to any other subject matter as I recall.Choose virtue over drama in the future, don't project, attack someone and play the victim.
@anyone else
For everyone else, I independently came up with the Hatch recommendations Holmes posted and can tell you, without sufficient hormones and thyroid, it may not make a difference. Very helpful and not to disparage, but many others came to the same conclusion on the (former lol) RPF to "eat what their grandparents ate" and their mileage varied as well. IME, T3 may still be warranted as well as hormonal replacement which I have done much more aggressively than Ray ever recommended. I still stand by not wanting to buy an expensive book for the same reason I wouldn't charge money for ppl to read my own personal experiments.
