RE: Can you become dependent or addicted to progesterone/allopregnanolone?
from experience, pregnenolone/allopregnenolone is somehow self-limiting. if you take it too long or too much, it may cause anxiety instead
i have taken 50mg-100mg of pregnenolone a day for months, and then 50mg a week for over a year, haven't experienced any withdrawal symptoms at all

RE: What Causes Haunting and Incessant Memories?
I'm sure there is an incredibly extensive list of things that can cause this...
I've had the same problem with obsessive rumination, and it turned out to be caused by borderline hypocalcemia and a chronic vitamin D deficiency. My calcium was so low it was causing tetany (muscle tension) and incessant memories.
Taking glycine dissolved in water really helped me with the symptoms but only about 30%, but the symptoms didn't fully resolve until I fixed my vitamin D and calcium levels.
This is unlikely to be your case, but you never know.

RE: What Supplements Do Y'all Take?
you can start taking 10-20g bovine collagen (or gelatin) daily and like 1mg of sublingual b12, can't hurt and most people are deficient
get a blood panel for minerals and vitamin D to find out what other supps you'd need

RE: Pregnenolone worked only once wtf
it normalises your body's own production so you don't need it after that. same happened to me but it took a few months

RE: What's the Peaty cure to phimosis??
I asked a family friend who has been a urologic surgeon for 50 years and they mentioned cortisone cream and 10x sets of 30 second gently stretching the foreskin a day. For a maximum of 2-3 weeks.
Stretching without the cortisone cream is pointless.
If that doesn't help, surgery is the only option.

RE: Aspirin provokes gyno flare-up?
@mnemosyne I take long breaks from supps, and have avoided pregnenolone and vitamin A, as well as K2 for months.
I unfortunately cannot drop D & E due to extremely low blood levels of D, and E due to slightly raised estradiol and prolactin levels.
I imagine something to help liver clearance like milk thistle would be useful? Or are there ways to measure what the problem could be?

Vitamin E side effects
I take about 400 IU vitamin E daily (MCT oil, not soy-based) and I get very strong heat flashes, and extreme sweating from it. It happens with any form that I'm taking.
Are these side effects of it being strongly androgenic?
I'm mainly wondering if this is a cause for concern or if there is a way to alleviate it. I'm also taking K2, D, A, Coffee, Gelatin (but the effect persists whether I do or not).

RE: Aspirin provokes gyno flare-up?
@NangaParbat I always take it with orange juice, so it's not that. I will try the calcium. out of curiosity What's the logic behind adding the calcium/sodium?

RE: Chamomile has anti-estrogen and pro-progesterone properties
@Pillman said in Chamomile has anti-estrogen and pro-progesterone properties:
Chamomile should be dried gently to not damage the tea compounds.
I recommend buying whole flower in bulk so you can see what you get. If you have a discerning palate you might taste certain bagged brands are toasted or bitter. There are inferior products out there so be careful.
Agreed. Avoid bagged chamomile at all costs to be honest, it lacks active ingredients at best, and contains microplastics at worse.

RE: What have you found most effective for raising body temp?
50-100mg pregnenolone with 400 IU Vitamin E.
I have unusually low temp usually but if I take this, my wife starts asking me whether I'm sick or have a fever. It's very effective.

Aspirin provokes gyno flare-up?
I've noticed that against all logic (aspirin as an aromatase inhibitor, etc), whenever I take even 300mg it causes a gyno flare-up for about a day. I saw that this question was asked in the previous forum, but no real answer was found. Anyone know why?
This occurs whether or not I take my "anti-estrogen" stack:
- 1.2mg Vitamin K2
- 3000 IU Vitamin D
- 10,000 Vitamin A
- 400 IU Vitamin E
- 50mg pregnenolone once a week
