RE: Honey & Cream Homemade Taffy
@Snow these look delicious!!! And simple.
I’ve not heard of Taffy, is it the same as Toffee or caramels? -
RE: Immune system support post chemotherapy?
@GreekDemiGod Drs said the same to my Mum, they made her stop vitamin D and even vitamin C.
I read some cool stuff about pomegranate juice which produces a mucous that’s beneficial for fighting cancer. Got her onto that and Aspirin too.
All the best, stay strong
Well done for being there for her. -
RE: Never feel satiated
@bowser you’re right it can be pricey, I eat them once a day most days. If you can find direct from farmer it works out well. Also beef mince consumed with broth is quite budget friendly & balanced

RE: Never feel satiated
@bowser you can feel satiated with gelatinous cuts of meat like beef cheeks, lamb shanks and ox tail. Bone broths also. I also have no issues having well cooked potatoes and soaked rice. Some people are anti starch but I do wonderfully with it.

RE: What to do as a giga fatty?
@Hearthfire said in What to do as a giga fatty?:
Thyroid/metabolism doesn't change things nearly as much as people think as far as calories burned...Sorry, don't care what Ray said about it. There's a difference, but it's small. Bodybuilding community has irrefutably proved this. This is why so many Peaters are getting fat. They believed everything that was said about magically consuming 9000 calories and not gaining weight. Sorry, but you need to throw that out, because it was grossly exaggerated.
Everyone has different body composition (muscle and fat), activity levels, height, etc, This is why you calculate a TDEE, and then TEST it. Work out and diet for 2 weeks. Weigh yourself EVERY day. If your weight doesn't go down, adjust calorie intake a bit, test again. If your TDEE calculation was WAY off, you lied when inputting info.
Obese people are not incapable of losing weight because of thyroid function. That's a myth and an excuse they have latched onto, probably given to them by retarded doctors. They ABSOLUTELY can lose weight, they're just lazy and won't stop eating. Everyone can lose weight. There's not a single human on earth who is incapable of losing weight. Point one out to me.
This is an easily testable thing, you can confirm for yourself within a week or two (more time is usually better)
If you haven't done this, or deny that it works, you're either fat or already skinny and never needed to. Simple as.
This!

RE: What to do as a giga fatty?
@Him weight training, build muscle to increase your metabolism. This helped me change my body composition.
-
RE: Carb suggestions?
@Lothric it might be obvious, but you can lower your fat by going low fat for milk, cheese, etc. 0% Greek yoghurt, lean meats…
-
RE: carrot salad timing?
@samson I take it in between meals, usually breakfast and lunch

RE: I have hit rock bottom please help.
@lulueatsmeat you are absolutely not alone I would first like to recommend Kate Deering to you, if you don’t know of her already. She wrote ‘how to heal your metabolism’ and has so much useful info on her instagram & blog.
I ordered Cytomel and started slowly, breaking it into 4s & taking 1 4th with breakfast for 2 weeks. Then increased by a 4th every 2weeks. I take magnesium with it, which I recommend. I’m on 1.5 tablets now.
I was also eating lots of bone broth soup at the time because I was healing my gut.
My skin started clearing after two weeks and I had normal bowl movements again around then too. My sleep improved dramatically after about a month. I sleep so easily and deeply.
I did get blood tests to check reverse T3 & free T3 which both said I was hypo. So I went straight ahead with getting the T3.
I hope some of this helps! -
RE: I have hit rock bottom please help.
@lulueatsmeat hypothyroidism, look into that if you haven’t already. Taking T3 changed my skin and my life. All the best friend
