        Am just going to add that mature coconut, from where coconut milk and VCO comes from (young ones have soft flesh and little oil) in high in phosphate and low in calcium.

        So use and eat accordingly, and rein in any tendency to over-indulge.

          Thanks everyone for posting. Replacing the oil with coconut meat seems like the way to go. The processing creates opportunities for contamination. I didn't realize until recently how industrial chemicals get into everything.

          It looks like the younger coconut is better eating but hopefully the regular organic stuff is not too bad and some day I can ugrade

          Thanks @yerrag @Jennifer

            LOL @Serotoninskeptic. I don’t even have mood swings when it’s “that time of the month” so no worries about fluctuating hormones.

            @Insomniac, you’re welcome. 🙂

                Unfortunately I can't invent the all coconut diet because this guy already did.

                This man has been on a coconut-only diet for 24 years to manage GERD; is it healthy?
                https://indianexpress.com/article/lifestyle/balakrishnan-coconut-only-diet-gerd-shenaz-treasury-8396114/

                "People go to all lengths, in terms of their diet and exercise, to stay in shape and remain healthy. But Balakrishnan has, perhaps, transcended all boundaries as he has been on a coconut-only diet for 24 years to manage gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). Sharing his story on Instagram, actor-travel influencer Shenaz Treasury wrote, “Leave a ❤️ for Mr Balakrishnan and his good health’ Can you imagine — this man has been on a coconut diet for 24 years. I was in shock — what about protein? But he said he’s never had better health in his life.”

                  I'm positive I heard Ray mention a history of bowel cancer in Southeast Asian regions where coconut meat is consumed.

                  I could always be wrong, but for a testimony of one, I always had digestion problems when I would eat some healthfood snack with coconut meat

                      Actually, it’s no different when my thyroid is struggling and my cycle is off. It’s more like self-worth and honest communication so I have healthy boundaries and don’t bottle things up inside that would lead to upset. Hormones only heighten my emotions or more like make me aware that something actually bothers me because I was taught to suppress my emotions and ignore my needs, similar to the average man who was taught by society the harmful belief that men are meant to be stoic and are disposable. The most “temperamental” people I’ve known have been men. If I’m not mistaken, suicide is highest among men, too.

                        If I recall correctly, Ray thought mature coconut (and even coconut sugar) was potentially allergenic. That’s why he recommended refined coconut oil over virgin. Even when I was reacting to most foods, I never had an allergic reaction to mature coconut, which I’m grateful for because it’s one of my favorite foods.
