@raytreats It is to make the blood vessels less permeable so that the plasma content of blood in the form of water does not get thru to the extracellular fluids outside of the blood vessels and cells.

When blood loses its plasma in the form of water, as water leaves the permeable blood vessels, the blood volume becomes lower to such an extent that in order to circulate the lower blood volume the body has to increase the blood pressure. The extra pressure causes more plasma water to be displaced into the extracellular space as extracellular fluid accumulates.

Because the water that accumulates in the ecf can block oxygen intake in the lungs in a condition called wet lungs, the heart will lack the energy to pump blood as the heart loses its ability to pump blood fully. A lot of water is lost from the blood vessels and further bloats the extracellular space.

I experienced a bloated face after my belly and my ankles got bloated. I had to be committed to the ICU the first time it happened, as it is near the point where the heart may cease to pump, and my heart would stop.

But I won't know your situation and what happened to me may not apply to you.

Try gua sha, you may have lymphatic fluid buildup in your face.

@raytreats aspirin, coffee, cigarettes, sunlight and movement (preferably house or yard work instead of exercise) that result in sweating. Salt consumption may contribute to bloating, experiment with increasing your potassium intake. Gua sha and facial massages are useless.

Lowering red meat intake makes my face very lean.

@Gaston This one may be applicable to me, I definitely could lower my red meat intake. Also think it's keeping my cortisol high

@oliveoil you think gua sha is useless? i've been trying it the past several days and can't totally see immediate results. it does feel a little silly to rub this jade stone on my face.

@Gaston lsd during or after? i find it does during, all the way until the next day. probably something to do with histamine i assume. or maybe lack of appetite whilst tripping

@mavuue During, and for days afterward. I couldn't tell you why.

Gua Sha your face and neck. My wife does it and tons of people do it. Lots of different techniques and tools.

@Gaston i would just assume extra activity + increased metabolism whilst on it = more lymphatic drainage/flow, more energy consumption, depleting glycogen stores = excreting water = less water retention in face
confounded by lack of appetite during, unless youre a freak. i still find myself able to force down some food after the peak, despite how gross and weird it feels. first few times I did it I was trying to lose a few, and realised how good of a weight loss drug it is, lol.

methylene blue and progesterone both have this effect on my face.
