@Hearthfire To be honest, I don't know haha. I couldn't figure out what's recommended either.

RE: Mineral Balancing - removing heavy metals

"the basic idea is that the body accumulates toxic less preferred elements when the preferred nutrient elements are not available.
What this means is that the best way to detoxify the tissues from these less preferred elements is with nourishment, rather than chelation, and ensuring that the body no longer uses toxic elements to perform biological functions at a lowered rate of efficiency. Mineral Balancing - removing heavy metals
Here is the idea, as far as I can tell. I don't know if it's true yet.
Heavy metals "mimic" minerals, so the metals replace minerals all over the body, and they won't leave because the body sort of thinks they are minerals that should be there. But you can remove the heavy metals by manipulating the minerals in some way so that the body will release the metals. Your actions are guided by frequent hair testing of minerals and metals.
I've seen this guy on twitter and instagram, Clark Engelbert. He has some testimonials that it works, maybe curing autism.

RE: What is your opinion on this iodine protocol to double testosterone
I don't know if this applies to topical iodine too, but I've recently learned that excess iodine in the diet can cause hypothyroidism (and thus lower testosterone)
I've posted info on excess iodine here: https://bioenergetic.forum/topic/3760/bloodwork-shows-elevated-tpoab-hashimoto-s-disease/2?_=1737939914830

RE: Bloodwork shows elevated TPOAb (Hashimoto's disease)
@GRay I got info from studies. Here's the numbers I'm using. I can't guarantee they're perfect as I haven't gone super in depth. Also the real amount can vary a lot, these are averages.
Cup of milk (USA) or yogurt: 84 mcg.
1 ounce cheese: 14 mcg
small pat of butter: 4 mcg
1 egg: 26 mcg
3 oz of typical fish: 27 mcg (some species are much higher)
3 oz beef or chicken: 14 mcg
Misc (all the various fruits, vegetables, bread through the day, which are usually low in iodine): 10 mcg total for my typical day of eating.
Teaspoon (6 grams) iodized salt: 312 mcg
6 grams of sea salt: 4 mcg. (edit 1/28/25: Apparently sea salt iodine content can vary a lot actually. Some of it is quite high.) -
RE: Bloodwork shows elevated TPOAb (Hashimoto's disease)
I now have my iodine consumption somewhere around 100-150mcg per day and I continue to have good high temperatures, a quick mind, no more procrastination, more energy and endurance. Such an amazing improvement in so little time, and so far it's permanent!

RE: Mercola/Strong Sista and Alan Christianson on excess Iodine
Good video. Coincidentally, I just found out about this iodine thing recently too. I posted my experience and a bunch of studies about it in this thread: https://bioenergetic.forum/topic/3760/bloodwork-shows-elevated-tpoab-hashimoto-s-disease
For the record, iodine is in excess on a Peaty diet, only because modern cows and chickens get iodine supplements which make the milk and eggs too high in iodine. It wouldn't be a problem naturally.

Thanks LucH and Jennifer.
Yeah, I hope the prolactin comes down with improved thyroid!

RE: Bloodwork shows elevated TPOAb (Hashimoto's disease)
@Jennifer Good to know, thank you! I'm glad you had success and that it can be done!
Do you happen to know if the goats' udders and the dairy equipment were being treated with disinfectants or not?
@LucH Thank you for the detailed info. I like this article that you posted. https://thyroidpharmacist.com/articles/iodine-hashimotos/
From that article:
Iran: 3.2% of people had TPOAb antibodies before salt iodization, 12.5% had them after.
Minnesota: "Starting with the first decade after iodine fortification, they documented a 2,500 percent increase in Hashimoto’s disease."I guess my selenium wasn't high enough for my iodine consumption? Cronometer says I generally got 230mcg selenium, which is ~4.2x the RDA. But with high iodine, maybe I needed a lot more.
My iodine consumption a few months ago was around 982mcg, and more recently (at the time of my bloodwork) was 722mcg. Now, having removed iodized salt, my iodine is about 436mcg and things have improved a lot so far.

RE: Bloodwork shows elevated TPOAb (Hashimoto's disease)
Thank you for your advice everyone. Much appreciated.
Stopping iodized salt is working! My temperature has increased a bit and my mental abilities are improved. I'm tracking my temperatures daily and will probably post soon when I have more data.
