@Amazoniac I wish I had the background to grasp all of what you wrote. From what I gathered, it looks like biotin may or may not be helpful, thiamine has some risks, but the benefits of saturating the body with enough to get in the cell most likely outweighs those risks in fighting cancer, as a carbonic anhydrase inhibitor (and aspirin is also a carbonic anhydrase inhibitor.)

RE: Just ate liver for the first time. Intense!
Something similar to me happened my first time on liver, I felt almost euphoric. The subsequent times did not reach that state though, I think the body adjusts.

RE: Progest-E and Preeclampsia
They recently found the paper that showed progesterone in babies increases IQ, I'd check their for dosage.

RE: Super High blood preassure
My mom swears by chayote. She would make it in a soup, when she had it she would have to be careful because she also took meds to lower her blood pressure, so sometimes it would get too low.

RE: Trump/RFK’s health policy advisor may be a peater
I'll believe it when I see it. Does this health policy advisor have a name?

RE: Introduction
- I'm not sure, I don't think there are any issues but I haven't looked into this.
- No.
- Lots of benefits, anti-estrogenic, inhibits fatty acid oxidation, among other things. Read Peat's article, or search his quotes with bioenergertic.life
- I use NOW beef gelatine powder.
- It's probably best to go slower than faster, Peat's mantra is "Perceive, Think, Act" so try to see how you are feeling and adjust accordingly. Hopefully someone who came out of carnivore can give better advice for this one.

RE: Cynomel exacerbating pregnancy nausea
I don't have any direct experience, but I did find this article from the creator of Saturee, hopefully it is of some help. She does consulting, maybe she can offer some advice?

RE: Does anyone take a multivitamin? What to look for in it?
@Serotoninskeptic Peat talks about this, the risk is the excipients and the purity of the actual vitamins that are chemically extracted. There's no way to really know if a vitamin is 100% pure.
This is why he thinks weekly liver and oysters should be enough for one's nutritional needs.

RE: DNP=DANGEROUS, high dose aspirin instead?
@grymsky90210 I gained it back eventually, but I couldn't tell you how fast that was. I was not strict with my diet at all lol.

RE: DNP=DANGEROUS, high dose aspirin instead?
@grymsky90210
This was years ago, so I don't recall the exact dosage. I think the caps I ran were 250 mg, but I don't recall if I took it once or twice a day. I think there were days where I took it twice a day.All I really remember is that I was always hot, and sleeping was extremely hard. I was very sweaty, I remember going to a bible study drenched in sweat once, I probably looked ridiculous.
That first run, I lost 10lb in 10 days. I was going for 14 days but I just couldn't take it anymore. I didn't have a way to measure it, but I'm fairly certain I only lost fat, because my lifts did not suffer at all.
I tried doing a second run, but I ended up with an allergic reaction, so I just stopped. My lips got really swollen and I got hives, I had to go to the ER to get an IV of benadryl or something. I honestly didn't do enough due diligence to prep for that possibility, but if you do your research, this is possible so people tend to have benadryl on hand, just in case.

RE: Blue corn vs yellow corn masa
@Serotoninskeptic
Not sure, but the benefits of the masa harina is in how it is made (nixtamalization) so I think the corn itself wouldn't matter much. -
RE: Thyroid not working - Low sodium and chlorine in blood?
@pabloag10 Try taking some magnesium (I like magnesium glycinate) and a B complex (I use Thorne's basic complex.)
I would get adrenaline rushes when taking T3 to start, but I've read that it means you may be low in either of the above.
From Danny Roddy's article on supplementing thyroid:
“That sort of sudden adrenaline effect can happen when there’s something essential missing in the diet, while the requirements are increased by using thyroid. Deficiencies of protein, magnesium, calcium, and the B vitamins are most likely. Too much phosphate and too little carbohydrate are other possibilities.” … “When you first start taking thyroid again, your tissues will need some extra magnesium...” — Ray Peat -
RE: What to do as a giga fatty?
OP, take some DNP, or the new uncoupler BAM15.
@happyhanneke
basically taking a supraphysiological dose of T3 i.e. taking a lot of T3. -

RE: sebhorreic dermatitis cure ?
I noticed it got better when I repented of an unrepentant sin and turned to Jesus.
I'm also trying to improve sperm quality so I started taking CoQ10, D3, K2, and a B complex (by Thorne.)
I'm fairly certain what has fixed my seb derm is the B complex because I'd read that a deficiency can cause it, but I wanted to share the other things I started taking at the same time as the B vitamins, it very well could have been something else.
I also supplement 25mcg T3 a day, divided throughout the day.

RE: Bioenergetic Guide to Pregnancy?
@Peatful said in Bioenergetic Guide to Pregnancy?:
stay away from fertility treatments or clinics
very interesting, what makes you add this as one of your major points?
@Sunniva said in Bioenergetic Guide to Pregnancy?:
Then at a 39 week check my doctor said I needed to go to hospital and be induced. Something about the babies heart rate decreasing with contractions (to the best of my memory).
To this day, because of my ensuing distrust of the medical establishment, I am not certain that recommendation to be induced was necessary.
Be aware, if you are induced, there is an extremely high likelihood you will end up with a c-section.
My wife and I watched this old documentary by Ricki Lake (of daytime talk show fame) called "The Business of Being Born" and one of my key takeaways was that the inducing process tends to snow ball with interventions until the woman needs a C-section.
I found the documentary online, it's a fascinating watch

Just as a point of reference, I ordered Saturday night, sent a picture of a check and my status says "preparing for shipment."
