@LucH ok, thanks! When I consume MCT oil or coconut oil I get cystic pimples. Very annoying.

@LucH Oh yeah also when I was taking gelatin before I was getting really bad acne too. Any reason this might be? Thanks!

RE: Salicylate sensitivity
@LucH Thanks!
I'm not 100% sure its salicylates but when I eat foods, such as honey, olive oil, OJ, fruit, spinach, and some other things the skin on my face gets really flaky and irratated.
Also some things that seem to kind of help are MSM, glycine and Claritin antihistamine.
I also took some MCT oil recently and got terrible acne from it, not sure what that could mean?

RE: PEATSPHERE is dysgenic
@Rah1woot I also think a lot of the ailments are somewhat self manifested because solving ailments can give you a sense of purpose.
I noticed this in my self. I was an athlete, got injured which ended my career. Lost sense of identity. Started dealing with some health problems. Ooh perfect figuring out my health will be my purpose. Then became obsessed with tinkering and trying to fix my health and I now wonder if my body thinks it needs some kind of ailment or problem as a way to fulfill keeping what it thinks is my purpose(fixing my health).

@Corngold The key is being conscious while not developing a neurotic obsession, becoming a hypochondriac.

I agree on the men in the peatsphere generally not looking good. However I’ve seen a bunch of peatarded women who look good and much healthier since peating .

RE: What could be causing chronic dry flaky skin and lips?
@nicemushroom17 Also, I've noticed high-fat foods make my PCOS-like symptoms quite a bit worse. For example, I was eating a fair amount of clean vanilla ice cream last week, and I noticed my hair was noticeably thinner and acne was worse.
It's a damn shame.

What could be causing chronic dry flaky skin and lips?
I've been dealing with this chronic dry, flaky skin on my face, scalp, and now lips. I thought it was sebderm, but I don't think it is as I've tried a bunch of things to help, like MCT oil, but it doesn't really help.
I've noticed a couple of things that I know trigger it, or make it worse: legumes, bananas, raisins, OJ, lots of salt, lots of protein, carrots and spinach. Legumes seem to be the worst culprit.
Not sure what could be causing this. I'm also dealing with PCOS-like symptoms as a dude(hair loss, bacne, excessive body hair)

RE: So did anyone try the D/K on the penis
@LetTheRedeemed I got the Forefront k2 mk4 drops, it's a bit cheaper than Thorne but seems good.

RE: Insulin resistance and male with PCOS like symptoms
@nicemushroom17
Things I’ve found looking at the internet and other forums:- Low sugar/carb: Obvs not since here I am and I was low carb for awhile which lead to this.
-Niacinamide: Seemed to make it worse for me.
-Inositol
-Taurine
-K2
-Resistant starch: this seems to be pretty good, had some cold potatoes that I boiled the day before and felt good.
-Low fat diet

RE: So did anyone try the D/K on the penis
@pondfountain Been just using K2 topically and erection quality has been really good and the skin is darker when I’m doing some stretches. Got some liquid D3 and ordered a higher quality vit E oil I’m gonna add to see if I notice any differences.

Insulin resistance and male with PCOS like symptoms
Hi
Piggybacking off this thread: https://bioenergetic.forum/topic/2281/how-to-restore-glucose-oxidation-insulin-sensitivity?_=1738640425065I’m a 24-year-old male, underweight, but dealing with symptoms of insulin resistance (blurry vision, excessive urination) and PCOS-like issues (hair loss, excessive body hair, worse acne). I suspect high cortisol from years of restrictive eating and fasting is contributing to this.
I’ve tried niacinamide but stopped due to worsened vision. I’m now testing inositol and taurine, though I’ve had histamine reactions to taurine before.
My goal is to improve insulin sensitivity and bulk up. Any advice on how to approach both of these

MSM effects on skin and eyes.
Looking for insights on long term usage of MSM Methylsulfonylmethane) supplementation.
I've noticed my eyes are noticeably lighter, and my skin and hair look healthier when taking MSM. So, I would like to keep taking it for the looksmaxxing effects; however, I was wondering if there was anything to be cautious about when supplementing it.
I couldn't find much on side effects, and it looks like the main thing is to make sure to get vitamin C and molybdenum alongside it, which should be easy enough through a peaty diet.

RE: Ears flushing
@LucH I think it's connected to histamine, but not sure how to fix it. I was taking Claritin for a while, which helped greatly for a couple of months but effects wore off.
Also, interestingly, when I was taking finasteride, a lot of my histamine issues went away except the ears flushing.
