@idealabsrat i tried this last night and when i went to cook the rice after rinsing the water would not evaporate. my rice essentially turned into porridge slop. i boiled it for one hour, rinsed the rice in a strainer, then brought to a boil with a bit of water and cooked on low heat. not sure what i'm doing wrong or if this is the proper texture when cooking it this way

RE: Want to lose 15 pounds by summer
6’2”, ~220 lbs, Male
Lift generally 3 times a week, sometimes more
Doing PPL but planning to introduce an Arnold split or something more focused. I’ll also do stairmaster for around 30 min each session and then sauna.Digestion is pretty good overall, around 3 bowel movements a day on average. Have not measured my glucose levels before. Something I will say is that I might not be getting enough sleep. I tend to go to bed around 11:30 pm and wake up at 6:45 AM.
What I mentioned is generally what I eat- I don’t tend to stray too much from that. Lunch like I said changes from day to day, but could be the grey area where I can make some significant change

Want to lose 15 pounds by summer
Looking for the best way to cut. I have read about the "honey diet" for fat loss but not sure I'll be able to commit to it long term.
Lately my day to day diet has consisted of the following:
Morning:
0% fat yogurt with blueberries, blackberries and honey
Coffee with sugar and skim milk
I'll have some grapes / watermelon / more berries later in the morning.Lunch:
I work in an office and don't always bring lunch, when i eat out i try to eat low PUFA. Usually a mix of protein, vegetables and a little starch. Typical bowl slop food.
Dinner:
I try to fit in a carrot salad with coconut oil / ACV in the evening before dinner. Then I will usually cook ground beef and potatoes, either baked with butter on top, or I will fry them in coconut oil. Sometimes I do white rice.
If I am still really hungry I will have some ice cream (no gums) before bed or a glass of skim milk.
I take thiamax, b complex, Vit D & E, and magnesium glycinate before bed. I also take aspirin occasionally.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Can't quite ever "finish" a yawn
Has anyone had trouble with this? My yawns will sometimes get right to the crux of being "released" so to speak, and then will die back down. I will almost have to try and force it out by breathing or expanding my chest. It's almost like I cant inhale deep enough to break through to the other side of the yawn.
I don't think it's necessarily impeding anything in my life, but I am just curious why this is happening.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

RE: mood swings / irritability cures
@Serotoninskeptic i think this was it, because the day i posted this, i went home and made a carrot salad. the next day i felt noticeably better in terms of energy and mood. i also like to eat white rice which i heard Georgi mention on a podcast causes endotoxin growth.

mood swings / irritability cures
have been a brooding, negative mess recently. does anyone have any recommendations for reducing mood swings / anger issues through bioenergetics?
i usually feel more clear headed, positive and energetic when i incorporate the carrot salad, and i have fallen off of that wagon in the past couple of weeks.
any potential causes or things to look out for to avoid this issue? it sometimes negatively affects my personal relationships. thank you

intense forearm soreness / magnesium lotion recs
having intense muscle soreness in my outer forearm area which makes barbell curls extremely painful, particularly when i put the weight down. should i rest for some time before resuming curls? is there a magnesium lotion you would recommend to improve muscle soreness? i drink glycine powder dissolved in water before bed on occasion, and while it generally relaxes my muscles it doesn't necessarily target the problem areas.

Period Cramps remedies for my gf
Her period cramps are terrible, had to leave work early today after vomiting. She can't have dairy and Progest-e makes her very suspicious. Any other recommendations?

RE: Why do a lot of guys get puffy past the age of 30
@Andrewㅤ I'm 30 currently and really want to avoid the fate that I see most men have of continually getting fatter and more slovenly looking. Diet consists of coffee with milk and sugar, fruit, fresh squeezed OJ, eggs, white rice and red meat. Liver is not consistently in my diet. Supplementing aspirin, thiamine, B complex, vit E D & K.

tips for girlfriends acne coming back?
hello,
gf has been going through stressful times struggling with unemployment for the past couple months, and her acne which was pretty much completely curtailed by spironolactone is coming back slightly because she stopped taking it. it was messing with her hormones and her period, causing severe mood swings and emotional instability.
any peaty cures for acne? the only downside is she can't consume dairy

Best coconut water brand?
Any coconut water recommendations that don't have all the bad shit in it? I enjoy drinking it but want to get the good stuff.
Please don't say some Paul Saladino autistic shit and tell me to drink from a coconut. I live in NYC not Barbados

RE: cancer
@Jakeandpace literally the same as me. The past few days I have been taking thiamine, b complex and aspirin, along with k2, E and D and my energy levels and mental clarity / happiness are noticeably elevated. I don’t think Haidut is bullshitting about aspirin.

RE: Dry mouth - need advice
Hi all, just to follow up, I'm happy to say the dry mouth has went away, and the inside of my cheeks feel smooth and well lubricated again. I started taking Thiamine (Thiamax) along with a B-complex vitamin for the past few days and my symptoms are now totally gone.
I can't say with 100% certainty that Vitamin B deficiency is what was causing this, although it's likely. I spent the weekend without drinking any espresso, and only drinking cafe bought coffee with milk and sugar. Today I'm resuming the espresso and will follow up if this feeling comes back.
I think I also have been a bit under nourished lately which has been putting stress on my body. I'm trying to lose 10-15 pounds, and have significantly reduced my caloric intake, having only about 2 meals per day along with generous orange juice intake. I've come to the conclusion that how much I'm eating is probably not enough. I'm 6'2 and roughly 215-220 pounds.
Thank you to everyone who chimed in with reassurance and advice. I really appreciate it.

RE: Dry mouth - need advice
@C-Mex I'll try baking soda. I was taking it before bed dissolved in water to help with sleep the other week. Maybe my body is sensitive to acid right now.. and I know baking soda alkalizes the bloodstream a bit.
-
RE: Dry mouth - need advice
@C-Mex thank you, that's really reassuring. Earlier today after having an espresso it started to flare up and my mouth became very dry. Since then I've been drinking water and my mouth now feels pretty much back to normal. I think stress also elevates it. I don't doubt it could be a fungal infection of some kind.. I'll look into flowers of sulphur.

RE: Dry mouth - need advice
@C-Mex i use Tom's organic toothpaste

RE: Dry mouth - need advice
@Norwegian-Mugabe I have gained a little bit over the past year, but I haven't been eating anything out of the ordinary. No other symptoms. I did up my sugar intake over the past few months in coffee but that's about it.
