@Peatful said in Help with results:
“Taking things” I found doesn’t change - a woman in your position-her metabolic or hormonal profile towards health
Ex: You saw this with progesterone first handSome may abate symptoms
But not true healing imeFood and diet does.
Food is a powerful “chemical” messenger.
This is one reason Ray would speak of nutrient dense foods like oysters, liver etc
Or therapeutic foods such as the carrot saladUnderstood. Thanks. Back on track now.

RE: Help with results
@cs3000 Thank you! I did take progest-e at a very high dose but got terrible side effects like weight gain and massive amounts of bleeding between periods which scared me.
I read that Vit C increases progesterone. I am likely deficient in Vit C as I am a smoker. Do you think it'd be worth taking a C supp or increasing fruit with high C? -

@NotShanalotte
Thanks I agree with you about the adrenal hormones. I used to take a supplement called Seriphos for lowering cortisol. Have you heard of it? Last night I remembered that I had some so I took two capsules and I had a great night's sleep.Do my results show high or low prolactin? Because the results say low, but some people on the RP FB group were saying that it was high. My sex drive disappeared in the last year which is very unusual for me. I heard this is a sign of low prolactin.

RE: Help with results
Does anyone know how I can raise prolactin? I am trying to get pregnant but these results are a mess.

Help with results
Could anyone help me with these results? 42 year old female. Regular periods. I have been through an intensely stressful period over the past year due to the death of my sister and some other issues.
Diet is Peatish however I fell off the wagon around the time of my Sister's death for several months.. -
RE: Gastro paresis
Systemic enzymes twice daily on an empty stomach. I have used Zymessence for 10 years. The reason I know they work is because they cleared up all of the complications that I had from lifelong, type 1 diabetes which included GP.

RE: No sex drive, Long refractory period and ED
@hwisdom Is this the reason why so many peoples sex drives go through the roof when they take apple cider vinegar? Because it's killing bacteria?

RE: New "Mission" of RPF
@insufferable Yes, most Danes eat it a few times a week at least Also, they eat rye bread instead of white. Lots of dairy products and potatoes too plus coffee and cigarettes.

RE: Fluconazole Treatment
@banquos-ghost Fluconazole works when you're taking it but the fungus comes back again a short time later. There is also the chance of growing a nasty fungus that is resistant to anti fungal meds. At least that's what the Doctor told me.
I haven't found a more powerful antifungal than leaves from an olive tree. I boil them and then drink the tea. Never had any side effects from olive leaves. -
RE: New "Mission" of RPF
I wasn't a poster on the RP forum but a long time lurker and couldn't believe what I was seeing when I visited the forum recently. The whole thing reeks of a subversive and organised take over. People that are new to Ray Peat's work will visit the website and get caught up in the anti Vit A "low toxin" nonsense. They will see the RP admin rejecting coffee, dairy and orange juice. Seems like such a betrayal and it doesn't make sense to continue to call it the RP forum unless subversion is the goal.
How do they explain the good health of Danish people if Vit A is toxic? Danes are given leverpostei (liver pate) as toddlers and a lot of Danes eat it a few times a week, all their lives. Compared to citizens of other European countries, Danes seem strong and healthy with good hair, teeth and bone structure.

RE: Why does progest-e with DHEA make me fat?
Progest-e made me fat too (I am 42) and it took several months to get the weight off again. I started at a high dose as I read that this would lessen side effects but it didn't seem to work for me. I had previously used a progesterone cream with no weight gain.

RE: Is it possible to force a creative state?
When I had a copper deficiency my creativity plummeted. It was also more difficult to visualise. Once the deficiency was corrected I went back to normal. If I have some writing to do I find that plenty of coffee and cigarettes does the trick.

RE: Hello
@ThinPicking I blocked him. What a creepy weirdo. Never had to block anyone on my first forum post before. He seems a bit estrogenic.
