RE: The Dental Care Thread
@ah I have had the mousse for about 10 years...didn't really notice any benefits/negatives while I was using it (I don't use it anymore)

RE: The Dental Care Thread

RE: Diclofenac gel to regrow hair on bald head and beard
@wester130 ok, thanks for the info! It may be that my scalp just needs to get used to the acid

RE: Diclofenac gel to regrow hair on bald head and beard

RE: Agar agar
@LucH I don't really have a problem with wheat, that's i thought maybe wheat bran was a good fibre source.
Unfortunately, I am highly allergic to buckwheat. -
RE: Agar agar
@LucH I guess those studies are not in favor of agar. Would wheat bran be better though?
-
RE: Agar agar
@DavidPS well, thanks, but AI is just regurgitating who knows what from who knows where...I was interested if ray had talked about it
-
Agar agar
I looked through the old raypeatforum but couldnfind a consensus about the value of agar agar. Does anybody know what Ray thought of it? I was thinking about using for upping my fibre intake, which I think is important.

RE: Lowering cortisol
@PunkinEater I will...but I am trying to avoid as the shipping cost to Europe is quite high, plus the danger of paying outrageous customs and administrative fees
-
RE: Lowering cortisol
@PunkinEater ok, I don't have emodin, just cascara which has emodin in it apparantly. I have been using a 1/4 tsp of it beofre bed these last 3 nights. So far nothing to report. We'll see

RE: Lowering cortisol
@cdwg I tried cypro but I am not sure I felt any change...plus a lot of weight gain around the abdomen making me skinny fat
-
Lowering cortisol
I have high cortisol, I suppose, since I have some extra abdominal fat around the waist. I am not eating excess calories, but I guess due to the cortisol my waist is not getting slimmer. Going on a diet (restricting calories, skipping meals, etc.) is probably a bad idea. I know that I have read in the past that lowering cortisol would resolve this. However, I am not clear on how to do this exactly. How to lower cortisol without buying prescription medicine?
