RE: Why Does Wine Help with preventing Nighttime urination?
@Jennifer I dont think I could ever reduce my protein that much, I drink lots of milk, specifically skim milk (2-3L/day) and I'm trying to lose weight with lower fat intake. The last 2 nights, however, I didnt need to wake up to pee after having dry red wine and ice cream before bed. I will continue to see if it really is the fix for me.

@Corngold Yeah, I made a post about this on twitter, it gave me anxiety/paranoia, lol. Still had to wake up and pee tho when I took glycine in the afternoon and not at night. https://x.com/turk4201/status/1906759316620873735

@Turk said in Why Does Wine Help with preventing Nighttime urination?:
Most nights I have to get up to pee, 1am, 2am, 4am most of the time, but have noticed when I drink wine, usually half or a full bottle, I dont need to wake up to pee. Does anyone know why this helps?
I also gave up alcohol for Lent (except on Sundays and 1st class feast days) so it's worse that I can only fix the problem once a week. I appreciate everyone's help, will experiment.

@ThinPicking My Macros had been around 60C/25P/15F, carbs were about 380g avg, mostly from skim milk and coke, some potatoes and sourdough. I take cynoplus, about 110mg of a 160mg tablet, per day.

RE: Need help with bowel movements
Well cooked mushrooms work very well for me and same with Cascara, I have been taking Cascara for a year since sleep deprivation made me constipated. I tried eating lots of dates for a month or 2 and it also helped.

@Peatful I tried ice cream last night and that didnt help. I'm going to try and see if Taurine, glycine, L-theanine and maybe creatine before bed can help at all. I used to have Nocturia last year, then it went away with Thyroid and also baking soda worked, but now both dont help with it anymore.

@Peatful Sweet wines, I had Riesling one night and Tokaji on another, although last night I had a red wine and didn't have to get up to pee.

RE: Constipation Caused From Sleep Deprivation - Help!
@Serotoninskeptic Yes, but I always have. Most of the time I have sourdough for breakfast, boiled potatoes for lunch/dinner, and occasionally pasta.

RE: Constipation Caused From Sleep Deprivation - Help!
@Serotoninskeptic I also want to note that my sleep has been normal for 4months now, 10:30pm bed and awake 6:15am, and sleep in on weekends to 9am to recover from the sleep deprivation.

Constipation Caused From Sleep Deprivation - Help!
I noticed after 4months of sleep deprivation, due to having twin babies being born, that I have become constipated (It has been 8months now, have been sleeping normally for the past 4months now, and I'm the father, not mother btw). I have been taking Cascara Sagrada for the last 6months and the effects seem to be wearing off, I dont go as often and smooth as I used to.
My diet seems good, low pufa, lots of milk, coffee, beef, eggs, sourdough, cheddar, gelatin, coconut oil and butter, potatoes, mushrooms etc... and supplement Magnesium, aspirin, cascara, k2/d3, and T3.
I'm not sure what to do to fix this, maybe carrot salad? (although I hate it). I have a b-complex and thiamine, I was reading b1 may help.Does anyone know a remedy for sleep deprivation caused constipation?
Thank you and God bless.
