Last year, two koi died in my pond within 2 weeks of my putting a wireless router whose signals went thru the pond. The pond is once again a safe haven for my koi.

Koi are really nice. I've never had any but my neighbor down the street made a pond with a little spillway to a smaller pond with a recirculating pump and lilypads and landscaping, the works. The koi were so happy! The raccoons thought they were delicious.

I'm out in the country on 22 acres, 5 miles from the closest little town (population 10,000). I can see one house from my property, but there are others on similarly sized tracts nearby. I've got everything hardwired (ethernet) except for my husband's cell phone. He gets great phone reception here and when people come over with their laptops, they work just fine. WiFi is everywhere now, I think. Sob.

Those raccoons also feast on koi in Singapore. I don't have that problem here in our overcrowded Manila. I have a mind to move to the mountains, but when push comes to shove, I procrastinate because the idea on becoming a nomad appeals to me as well.

Thank God I was dumb enough to not be worthy of even applying to MIT, which was a dream for me looking up to my uncle who went there on scholarship and made himself a name. Not to mention the worse situation in condos and apartment buildings on strong 24x7 emf exposure to WiFi and telco wireless signals.

On trehalose, I couldn't help but chuckle how people are so enamored of expedient solutions that almost always don't work. The marketing of magic bullets not just in media but also in schools and institutions such as the medical schools of the Ivy League and of the catholic and Protestant universities have produced a population that is constantly diseased on their own cognizance and will. Indeed, disease is what makes the world go around and we are busy finding solutions for problems we ourselves sow.

First off, if you've been vomiting a lot, you need to replenish your salt as with each vomit you are losing stomach acid and the chloride in salt. While you serum sodium is still within range, it is near the low end of range and as you continue to vomit, your sodium levels will continue to get lower.

Looking at your RBC and hct and hgb, which are way beyond normal range, it may point to lo blood volume as a result of low salt levels in your plasma which keeps the plasma ecf (extracellular fluid) from osmotically drawing water from the non-plasma ECF to your plasma ECF. This will make your blood contain less plasma thus lowering blood volume. This makes your blood have more RBC per unit volume (as well as hematocrit and hemoglobin) very high.

I don't know how if you could increase oral intake of salt and whether you need sodium chloride IV instead. And I don't know how much you need to take. But I think some action is needed as when your salt level drop beyond range you may have to be rushed to the ER. But to be safe, a visit to the ER to consult with them would be a good step to take. Explain to them your situation and they may just tell you to take more nacl tablets, or they could put you on IV.

Secondly, it appears you have metabolic acidosis. With your urine being very dark, it may also be that you have oliguria (low urine output). I recently had that condition, and I'm not sure why acidic urine and oliguria goes together, but I suspect that your urine is very acidic because your body is very acidic but because your blood volume is also low, there is not much water that can be excreted with water being taken out of your blood to form urine. Why I think you have metabolic acidosis is because of your high anion gap and low HCO3 (bicarbonate).

I wonder if you also are experiencing edema in your ankles , calves, or even tour thighs and your torso, as I had them when I was having very dark urine with oliguria.

Can you also send the ECG graphs if you have them? I'd like to see how high the QRS wave is. The QRS wave I the positive spike that is usually high. Helps to know more about your heart since you have palpitations and ectopic couplets.

I'm still looking at other markers and I'd like to have your answers the soonest.

Thanks. for sharing. I didn't get to go back to read these, so they are new to me. I know it's easy to assassinate someone's character when one knows the subject cannot respond. It happens all the time after one leaves a company he used to work in, or after one dies. It's par for the course. I learned that early and I'm never going to repeat that mistake in judgment. Some people you just never know who they really are. But saying that, just one post said about me by a person may still be well-intended even though the way it was said could be seen as derogatory without much more context to it. Some people are impulsive in mouthing off and what they say wouldn't come out right. So all is good with these people. Some of them are already with us in this forum. Glad to have them here as well.

I had ataxic gait fall of 2020; I kept bouncing off the walls. I also developed a tremor in my right hand. But these resolved via high dose thiamine hcl. When I got so sick, I was taking thiamine hcl, 100mg, 2Xday, but I took it with orange juice (oops). Many of the patient Before Treatment videos show people having a hard time walking, so the Ataxic Gait seems to be a tell tale sign.

I just learned of the term "gait ataxia" or "ataxic gait.." Is this your first time to hear the term as well? Seems like had I know of this term earlier, I would not refer to it as "a symptoms of parkinson's" or "myasthenia gravis." As it would be easier to see it associated with beriberi and to vitamin b1 deficiency.

I learned about "ataxic gait" in 2020 when it was happening to me. Dr. Chandler Marrs has a video where she talks about the deterioration of her mother's health; maybe that's what made me really understand it.

Very true! This is where the practitioners of "evidence-based" scientism lord it over clinicians all the time. Sad that a majority worship at the temple of scientism. The irony is that the more "educated" one is the more he relies less on other measures of evidence that includes observation and perceiving and thinking. And rely on curated google searches and wikipedia as their research.

I hate Wikipedia; at best it's the consensus of the brainwashed.

The problem with "evidence based" scientism is that the ones in control (medical industrial complex + "science" post Project Paperclip) demand empirical double blind human studies for the "gold standard" of proof. The only entities that can afford to do that type of study are the pharmaceutical companies for things that they can patent to make big bucks on. The system is broken.

Why we are in this forum is to sidestep that illusion, yet many people here still trust google as the final arbiter.

Searching for good studies online is time consuming; the ones they want you to find are at the top; the better ones are buried further down. Using "quotation marks" around key words can shorten the search.

I'm just as glad as you are that we used this forum to confirm each other's experiencing gait ataxia and if I can confirm megadosing b1 is effective, it strengthens our "clinician" equivalent approach to the other "evidence-based' approach. If this forum can do more of this kind of discovery, it would become far more helpful and useful than other forums.

There's an enormous amount of information on line about thiamine. It seems modern science cannot keep it hidden so well. For example, if you try to search for Thiamine and Cancer, the first studies that show are the ones about oncologists saying thiamine can cancel out the effect of their chemotherapy drugs so thiamine's bad. But further down the screen, you will find helpful research that includes info about low dose thiamine being carcinogenic but high dose thiamine is anti-carcinogenic. There's also a broad range between the low dose and the high dose that is neither carcinogenic nor anti-carcinogenic.

What serendipity, CMJ has an article on hi-dose supplementation on what to look out for in implementing hi-dose b1 supplementation. It's free for a day on substack. I wonder what's the best way to save it for my use. Perhaps print to PDF;

BTW, On the third day of 1500mg b1, I saw my overnight O²Ring chart go from a score of 7.5 to 9.3, indicating lower frequency in spO2 drops, and lower levels of drops in magnitude, which had been ongoing as far back as 3 years ago, when I began tracking it.

I also saw my ECG's QRS curve increase in height signifying strong electrical voltage restored in pumping my heart, which I track to ascertain how much free my lungs was free from liquid (pleural effusion). My QTc value , a proxy marker for testing for hypothyroidism Ray has talked about, has improved from 440 msec to 385, pushing me towards hyper to normo-thyroid territory.

Still waiting for my gait ataxia to disappear.

My experience from a different and broader context suggests that there are many people who get adverse reactions that do not end until thiamin supplementation is stopped rather than these self-resolving paradoxical reactions."

Please note that "paradoxical reactions" to thiamine discussed by Dr. Lonsdale are specifically about TTFD thiamine. In contrast, Dr. Costantini, who used thiamine hcl exclusively for treating his patients said that there should be NO negative reactions to taking thiamine hcl. He did say that rarely a patient would experience a negative reaction to it; his solution was to stop the thiamine for a week, then invite the patient to resume the treatment at half the dose.

Please note that TTFD thiamine is a synthetic newer version of thiamine that does have some advantages. It is easily absorbed in the gut so the size of the dose is much smaller than the oral dose needed for thiamine hcl. TTFD is also supposed to "get into the cell" much easier than thiamine hcl which may be an advantage for some people with genetic variations that make thiamine absorption on the cellular level less effective/blocked. TTFD doesn't have the "transport" issues that thiamine hcl might have for some people? Lonsdale, Marrs, and Overton know a lot more about TTFD than I do and all three seem to prefer recommending TTFD. Elliot Overton is affiliated with the company that makes Thiamax TTFD. He has stated that if you find a type of thiamine that works well for you that you should stick with that type.

Yes. I suspect that the higher thiamine dosage gave my phagocytes enough ROS to kill pathogenic bacteria as well as swallow sequestered lead for eventual excretion out the system. It potentiated my immune system enough to make toxins and pathogenic microbes.

As these toxins and pathogens are killed and excreted, they no longer have the staying power and with each day their numbers are reduced, and my immune system would be using less and leas oxygen to make ROS. So the spO² drops would be less and less over time and hopefully they will be gone.

@ora I'm testing responses here and so far I've made two posts in response to the subject of blood sugar and got no responses. I'm not sure whether my answers were too difficult to understand or despite my putting it in clear explanations, it was still too hard to understand.

my answers are not the typical banal answers and requires some bit of contrarian mindset to overcome the inertia of going with the false but seemingly logical and intuitive way we tend to think, in the same way that sometimes we need a coach to show us a counterintuitive way to do things to overcome a wall in our development as in kayakers learning to do a combat roll, a dancer trying to pirouette without getting dizzy and in driving thru a curve without needing to slow down as much.

But the lack of response shows me that people generally have lost interest in pursuing the subject which led them to post a question and instantly gave up at even asking a follow-up question showing a lack of going thru a process of their mind processing and trying to understand, as needed to overcome their present state of relative ignorance and to heal themselves. It betrays a lack of understanding that making quality products and robust health is not about taking magic bullets and instant panaceas, something the medical system has molded our minds into thinking, but to have a willingness to learn how to start with a good foundation of knowledge, and a willingness or patience of a turtle (as opposed to the speed of harebrained hare) a turtle to let the right process of steps take hold in the same way fine wine matures or strong masonry cures and sets.

That attitude is needed for anyone wanting to turn themselves from the seemingly hopeless state of being a low energy, very unstable and sickly individual that spends most of his life unable to do much because he is recovering always from something or has many allergies and resigns himself to blaming his condition as genetic or some kind of blessing like a stigmata.

Into being highly energetic and immune to the various insults thrown by nature or by man.

I hope that by referring to my post in RPF, I give the person a good reference in the same way most works are referenced if more detail is needed. Ray does that in his newsletters. It's good because he makes the reader do some extra research work, and the reader will do that research because he values that extra work enough to do the extra leg work. I think also it's not a good idea to write and share all I know in one sitting.

I would follow Ray's style and leave it hanging. That is an invitation to the reader to follow up with a question. This way, I know that guy is reading and wanting to know more. It's like when you shout and no one responds, do you know if anyone heard you?

@nomaanali212 This is a long explanation that I feel if I explained it, I would be spending a lot of time on it. Because it is long because it needs to be thorough, I find it to be too complicated for anyone to even give it a try.

Since I already explained it in detail already before, it's better if you go to RPF and search using my name and keyword "oral glucose tolerance test" to get the answers to the questions.

I have graphs as well there showing how improved my blood sugar control and how one could use the graphs to help figure out where the problem lies in their blood sugar control, as identification of the cause is vital to solving problems in blood regulation.

Sorry if I won't do it again here as honestly, no one there really came back to me about using the method I outlined and I have better things to do than be disappointed no one would try it. But this is a method used successfully by naturopath's and I further refined it and I successfully improved my sugar metabolism and transformed myself from very sickly into being free of many common issues.

@DG I'm not concerned how high my uric acid is as much as whether the uric acid is precipitating into crystals or not, causing arthriric ain in joints and gout.

My uric acid levels are on the high end of normal range. Yet I don't feel any arthritic pain. I believe it is because my good sugar metabolism produces a lot of CO2, and this helps with keeping my body in a state of good acid balance. In this state, uric acid hardly ever precipitates into crystals.

I'm not sure whether my uric acid levels are that high but I believe it's not so much that I'm producing a lot of it as I'm retaining a lot of it. When I check my urine for uric acid, it is very much lower than normal. They means I'm retaining a lot of uric acid.

As to why I'm retaining it, it may be that my body needs it more given that as much as I try to lower conditions of oxidative stress, I am not in that sweet spot where my body deals with a minimum of oxidative but on the contrary a lot of oxidative stress is ongoing. Causes range from lead toxicity still present to a high microbial load as indicated by wbc counts that speak of a high level of low-grade (no fever) infection.

Uric acid is part of the body's primary antioxidant system. It is protective. I would pay more attention to ensuring I have an optimal acid-base balance rather than lowering my uric acid levels. I have no arthritic pains whatsoever. No hour either. But go consult a doctor and you will be advised differently.

Usually people will do take the road well traveled, and stay within the safety in numbers. The majority is always right or always wrong? Conventional wisdom has it that majority is always right.

Haidut right now is a critical collaborator. He may do more good being a member not just for himself. Protecting his investment in the posts of studies and commentaries he has made over the years if he leaves or is banned leaves all that in the hands of charlie.

Before I got booted out, I made an offer for the site for 20¢ on the dollar for the site in jest in a post. But that was incidental as I had a fallout with charlie. I got to learn of his arrogance and left based on that alone. Little did I know he was to follow up his arrogance with action consistent with his true nature.

Brad I'm trustful that your nature is different from that of charlie and I look forward to be under your tent. I find being a good moderator requires a lot of good judgment and wisdom. I once left a Telegram chat group because a lot of disrespectful modern women (coarse and loud and gratuitously disrespectful to me). A weak male member was supporting them and telling me to mind my manners instead, and the active moderator wasn't doing anything about it. I wasn't banned but I gave time for the moderator/s to act before I left in disgust. You've seen me here having disagreements and I can carry my own when I am disrespected and I fight back especially when slighted upon. I welcome being told when I'm wrong but when there is a gray area I will use reason to defend myself. When defense is useless, I won't hesitate to kick it up a notch on offense. That is how I felt is only right. Words can hurt. And I try my best to use such words sparingly. I don't like bullies but I can bully a bully into submission if that is what it takes.

Anyway, after I left the forum, another moderator, who was the charlie to blossom in RPF, contacted me and invited me back after he removed those members and the other moderator, but I had moved on and being invited back in I felt would bloat my ego and I would not be back as just another member. I thanked him and said I would appreciate if he could leave the door open until such time that the dust has settled.

I don't take being a member here lightly, and I appreciate the welcome door here you have set for all. Your guiding hand speaks in the way you have designed the site, and in how your benign presence is expressed in your seeming absence.
