you didn't eat astronomical amounts, that's why

do you think eating astronomical amounts of anything is going to have a good outcome? lol.

@Corngold I mean if you want to make a staple in your diet or you are cultivating your own food, some of them are sustained with potatoes or any other food that may be considered in astronomically amounts

@GreekDemiGod Why should continental Europeans tolerate potatoes well if they came from South America?

@Androsclerozat Are you eating the peels as well? If so, that may be the problem. In Germany we never eat the peels, except with the spring potatoes where the peel is very thin (and most likely contains no solanine). As a food scientist, I can tell you another problem may be that you are not buying organic potatoes because conventional potatoes have one of the most heaviest pesticide loads (conventional strawberries is another one).

I used to get this when my health was a mess. Now my diet is mineral water, beef/yak, and potatoes. I don’t tolerate fructose whatsoever so this works for me.

I’ve tried rice instead of potatoes dozens of times and it just doesn’t work. 0 nutritional value compared to potatoes.

I've also been seriously thinking about this lately. I think potatoes cause symptoms for me, and it's flown under my radar because they're not as severe as PUFA induced symptoms, for example.
Such a shame because I crave potatoes, especially when I'm extremely hungry.

Mmmh i saw the difference between conventional and organic. I live in Netherlands right now and I can see a huuge difference in taste and texture, I pay almost 2 euros per kg, and i peel them all the time
In both cases acetylcholine is felt heavily
Of course, a meal of potatoes could be good especially if you plan going out with friends, talking would be so easy
i remember one time i went to this couples house, last meal being rice with butter.. man i couldnt form sentences without losing words
next time i ate potatoes with butter... i became the social butterfly.. it felt so easy to talk, but its true that your social status decreases a bit.. maybe from the outside cant be seen, but inside you feel that if someone makes an offensive joke, your ability to fight back would be dimished and you may not even realise that he laughed at you.. Acetylcholine indeed decreases dopamine D2 and increases the rest of receptors.. Same experience happened with vitamin B1, but with an extra side effect..

@Cicero maybe you crave them because you are eating them.. somehow it increased my stomach acid till the point of having no bloating, but the craving of potatoes was immense.
if u give them up, u wont feel the need to eat them again
it feels like bread tbh if its the only starch u eat

LoL Guessing that the only people able to pull off a mainly potato diet nowadays, are those who haven’t seriously damaged their gut linings. which at this point would be fewer and fewer of us, given the ever increasing number of dietetic environmental and parenteral precipices encountered by the average citizen

@Androsclerozat you still eat potato? In my expérience using"..." Exept for "...etc" is driven by suboptimal mental clarity and ability to express clearly what you think/feel or suboptimal clarity and ability to express clearly what you think/feel with out doubting that you are clear. diet can contribute

@random writing ... makes me less logical, it stops the enumeration thought and helps me move on to the next idea and not get lost into details

@random somehow it could be also a lack of ideas only if its written with excellent punctuation and grammar like in a way that you fear of breaking the rules

Possible, yet it let others assume what you mean or the feeling you're trying to convey, and that can reduce understanding, I suggest it's better for the person to use the words that best correspond to what they think/feel rather than "..." for optimal understanding
